AP100 INSTALLATION ORDER

AP100 should be installed in the following order.

 Necessary Environment : Microsoft Windows NT4 SP6

 Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional

 Microsoft Windows XP SP1

 MSDE (for only AP100 Server)

 SQL Server 7.0 Service Pack 3 or 2000 for XP (for only AP100 Server)

 AP100 Installation

 AP100 User Environment Setting

 NECESSARY ENVIRONMENT

Before installing AP100, please install following software in advance.

Microsoft Windows NT4 SP6

Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional

Microsoft Windows XP SP1

 After the installation, please fix the type of logon as entering User Name and Password at the first logon.

 We recommend that the drive structure is [C: 4G byte] and [D: 4G byte].

 This is necessary for supporting the bad conditions in Windows NT4 or 2000 Professional or XP

 To have the service pack herebelow .

Details concerning Microsoft Windows .

Please, check your system before AP100 installation,
if you have Windows NT4 you must have Service pack 6
if you have Windows 2000 you must have Service pack 2
if you have Windows XP you must have Service pack 1
This is an Update for your system.

It’s new Automatic Installation.

1. Insert the CD Install and You will see the first dialog box as below on the middle of your screen.

Please start MSDE in AP100 CD-ROM, and select icon .

necessary for setup program in installation.

 SENTINEL DRIVER FOR SECURITY BLOCK
On this Version you must plug-in the security block that you received on your package.

Please Plug-in it before installing. As below

 INFORMATIONS TO VERIFY
Execute «Settings» in «Start» on Task Bar → «Control Panel».
Select «System» → «Advanced» / «Performance Options», then
press button «Change».

Input «256» as «Initial Size», and «512» as «Maximum Size» for

«Paging File Size for Selected Drive»,, then press button «Set».
Press button «OK» to close dialog.
Press button «OK» to close dialog «System Properties».
After closing «Control Panel», restart computer.

User Environment Setting

Log on Windows with the user account for executing PCL or AP100 (the
account is normally same name as computer name).
If some applications of PCL or AP100 are activated, close all of them.
Select [Specify file name and execute it.] from the start menu.

Enter C:¥Asis1v11¥Bin¥Tool¥ApEnvNew.exe ("C:" means name of drive where

PCL/AP100 is to be installed.) in the dialog box [Specify file name and execute it.], and
press OK.

The dialog of User Environment Setting Program is displayed.

Press NEXT.

If you don’t have in your package BENDCAM you must install The DataBase. “MINISDD”.

 Adding NETBIEU Protocol for Windows XP

By default it is not installed under Windows XP, but in some handling the turn is played.
Open the " My computer " then click on " Tools " - " Folders Options ".
Select " View " then disable the order " Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)".
Click then on «Start -» Control panel " then double-click on " network Connections ".
Make a clic right on the “Network card” with which you wish to install the NetBEUI protocol and
click on " Properties ".
In the «General», click on " Install ". Click on " Protocol " then on " Add… ".
Click on «Have Disk " and insert your CD-Rom Windows XP.
Open the Valueadd folder and Valueadd/msft/net/netbeui then select the Netnbf.inf file and
choose " To open ".
Twice click on OK in order to finish the installation. Copy the Nbf.sys file in the
directory %SYSTEMROOT% /System32/Drivers and copy the Netnbf.inf file in the
directory %SYSTEMROOT% / Inf.
It is enough for you finally to start again the machine.
Note: %systemroot% is the folder in which Windows XP is installed.
