INTRODUCTION

This manual covers the information on aftersales service for the NIDEK CV-7000.
Appropriate service work requires full understanding of this manual before actual work is attempted.
The specifications of this system are subject to change without notice for improvement. For major changes,
refer to the corresponding TECHNICAL BULLETIN (T.B.) issued in each instance.
If the system cannot be repaired by following this Service Manual, inform NIDEK of the Serial Number of the
instrument, and the details of the symptom(s).

2.1 Cautions in Using this Manual
1) This Service Manual is targeted only for servicepersons with full knowledge of this system who have
been properly trained at the NIDEK head office or at NIDEK INCORPORATED. Any other persons
are prohibited from performing maintenance.
2) This Service Manual includes no descriptions related to the operation of the system. Before using this
Service Manual, thoroughly read the Operator’s Manual.
3) The contents of this Manual are subject to change without notice for improvement. Check updated

§7 ADJUSTMENT
2) Set SW7 of the DIP switchpack of the main board ASSY to the ON position and turn ON the power
switch of the main body.
3) Press the four squares in the corners of the touch panel to change the red squares to blue ones.
4) Confirm that the four squares are displayed in the center of the touch panel and the touch panel unit
emits a short beep when these four squares are pressed.
5) Turn OFF the power switch of the main body and reset the SW7 of the DIP switchpack of the main
board ASSY back to the OFF position.
2) Connect the digital multimeter between TP16 (+) and GND (-) of the main board ASSY.
3) Connect the reusable tubing kit to the main body and connect the three-way cock, syringe and
manometer to the reusable tubing kit.

6) Disconnect the manometer, turn VR1 on the vacuum sensor board (18235-BA04) and adjust the voltage
applied to TP16 to 1.00 V ± 0.06 V.

7) Connect the manometer, maintain the pressure in the – 39.9 to –40.0 kPa range by pulling the plunger of
the syringe out, and turn VR2 of the vacuum sensor board to set the voltage applied to TP16 to 2.8 V ±
0.06 V.
8) Disconnect the manometer again and confirm that the voltage applied to TP16 is 1.00 V ± 0.06 V. If
not, go back to Step 5).
9) Disconnect the digital multimeter, reusable tubing kit, three-way cock, syringe and manometer.
11) Set SW7 of the DIP switchpack of the main board ASSY to the OFF position.
