A Joint OAME/OMCA Project

The following materials have been developed to assist teachers in
implementing the new grade 11 mathematics courses. Below is a tree that
shows where different materials can be located in this package.

Materials have been written using 3 word processing formats: Word,

WordPerfect and PDF

Sketches and Scripts have been provided using Geometer=s Sketchpad

format. This is a Ministry licensed package.

Spreadsheet applications have been provided using Quattro Pro, Excel and
viewable PDF files. It should be noted that Quattro Pro is a part of the Corel
Suite package that has been licensed by the Ministry.

The Adobe Acrobat Reader directory on the CD contains a free Adobe

Acrobat Reader program to assist you in viewing the PDF files. The Adobe
Acrobat Reader program can also be download for free at the website:

http://cgim.adobe.com/acrobat/reader19/download.cgi

It should be noted that some PDF files in this package allow teachers, when
using an internet connected computer, to directly access websites by
clicking on the internet address/url in the file. An example of such a file is:

Gr 11 Personal Finance/ occupations.pdf

This file contains over 100 different occupations that students can research
by simply using their mouse to click on the occupation name.
