Administrator’s speech Alhamdulillah we should be very grateful to Allah, that

today on this beautiful month of “Syawal” we are here to
gather and blessed with the month of celebration after
fasting of 1 month in Ramadhan.

Today, I will be talking on this Hari Raya celebration and

also the moral value of “happiness”.

Before I speak furthermore on the Hari Raya celebration

and of the joy and happiness it brings us, let me wish all of
us here, to all the teachers, staffs and students of SMK
Palong Timur, Happy Eid or “Selamat Hari Raya” and I
also seek forgiveness for any wrong doings.

Let me ask you a question?

During Eidulfitri, are you sad or are you happy?

Anybody who don’t like Hari Raya or you feel sad during
Hari Raya raise your hands?
I am sure many of us here would say and agree that
Eidulfitri or Hari Raya is a month of happiness.

We are happy because we are celebrating the success of

completing our fasting for 1 month.

Alhamdulillah we are happy because we are able to eat a

variety of delicious food like lemang, ketupat rendang,
satay, kuah kacang and many more.

We are happy to get to eat so many Raya cookies.

We are happy to be able to reunite with our family and

friends.

We are happy to be able to wear beautiful “baju raya”. You

have so many themes for “Baju Raya” like Lilac, Orange
brick, baby blue, and so on.

We are happy to take pictures of our family photos, our

OOTD of “Baju Raya”, pictures with friends and
neighbours.

We are happy because we get lots of Raya pocket money

or “Duit Raya”.

As we can see, Hari Raya celebrations bring us so many

joy and happiness for us.

Therefore, I would like to highlight the moral values of

“happiness” for this month. And when we are happy, we
should always be grateful. Grateful to Allah for all the
happiness that He grants us and all the happiness that we
get to enjoy. We must appreciate these happy moments,
togetherness and all the great food, Raya pocket money,
“Baju Raya”, able to go back to our hometown, celebrate
with people that you love, your family, your friends, your
neighbour. All of these are our happiness, in which we
need to treasure, to appreciate and be grateful. Why?
Because they are people out there who could not
celebrate Eidulfitri like us. Take for example our brother
and sisters in Palestine, they lost their house, their family
members, lack of food and the ability to live their life
comfortably. We are indeed very fortunate to have a
comfortable house to stay, sufficient food and to live
peacefully.

With that, I would like to remind everybody to rejoice these

happy moments but at the same time appreciate and be
grateful of what we have. That’s all from me, thank u.
