EXECUTIVE ORDER No. 26- S - 2024

AN EXECUTIVE ORDER ESTABLISHING THE GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT

OFFICE OF BARANGAY MAYPULOT, INFANTA, QUEZON.

WHEREAS, PCW-DILG-DBM-NEDA Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2012-01 was

issued to provide guidelines on the implementation and localization of Republic
Act 9710 also known as Magna Carta of Women;

WHEREAS, Section 36(b) of RA 9710 provides that all government agencies,

local government units, and other government instrumentalities shall establish or
strengthen their GAD Focal Point System to accelerate their gender
mainstreaming;

WHEREAS, there is a need to organize a system that will focus on the

localization of Magna Carta of Women and gender mainstreaming in barangay
development planning and budgeting;

WHEREAS, the GAD Focal Point shall serve as the catalyst for policy inputs,
gender responsive programming/and ensure that gender concerns are addressed
as interventions for development;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Hon. ADELO A. RAMIREZ, Punong Barangay of Barangay

Maypulot, Infanta, Quezon, do hereby order the establishment of the GAD Office of
Barangay Binulasan.

Section 1. GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT OFFICE. The Gender and

Development Office shall be located in the Barangay Hall which will also serve its
purpose as VAW Desk Office.

Section 2. GAD OFFICE SECRETARIAT. The GAD Office Secretariat shall be

Hon. SHONDELLE R. MORFE who is also the SB Member, Chair, Committee of Women,
Children and Family to be assisted by the Barangay Secretary Mrs. MARILOU D.
RAMIREZ and BHW HONEYLYN C. CASTILLO.

Section 3. FUNCTION OF THE GAD OFFICE AND GAD SECRETARIAT. The

GFPS office shall assist the Barangay GAD Focal Point System in the performance of
their roles and responsibilities, specifically on the provision of administrative and
logistical services; preparation of meeting agenda and documentation of GFPS meetings
and other GAD related activities.
 Section 4. EFFECTIVITY CLAUSE. This Executive Order shall take effect
immediately.

Issued this 1st day of February 2024, at the Bahay Nayon of Brgy. Maypulot,
Infanta, Quezon.
