PROJECT: PROPOSED FACULTY OF ENGINEERING

AIM: This project is aimed to develop students with the techniques of adapting culture into design,
conceptualizing through modules, proffer solutions to architectural problems and also to lay emphasis on Brief
Generation, concept development, Site Planning, Zoning and Development.

Dear,
The Crescent University council has approved the establishment of faculty of engineering.
Consequent to that, the Management has directed the head of works and physical planning unit of the school to
release an advert to invite capable and reputable organisation to apply for expression of interest on the
approved proposed university faculty of engineering building. The physical planning unit decided to liaise with
the Department of Architecture for execution. Consequent to that you are hereby instructed to produce a
suitable design brief for the proposal and give a befitting architectural design drawings for the faculty building.
You are therefore implored to furnish the project committee a well detailed design brief within 1 week of this
notice and submit the schematic design by 2 weeks after.
The project is awarded to you based on your track record and wealth of experience.
Kindly note that emphasis must be given to Good Layout, aesthetics, cost effectiveness and structural stability
in your design.
The site is located beside the school library.

N.B. At least four lecturers must have seen and signed on your work before each presentation.
Presentation should be in ANY well Rendered medium with timeline below
Design brief and case study Friday 2nd December, 2022
Concept analysis, and design analysis Friday 16th December, 2022
Site Plan, Floor Plans and Roof Plans Friday 23rd December, 2022.
3- Sections, Elevations, Interior and Exterior Perspectives Friday 6th January, 2022
Final presentation Friday 20th January, 2022
