The Culinary Challenge - A Mother's Day Celebration!

For Students of STD IV-XII

Don Bosco Academy, Patna once again is organising a Culinary-Competition for our
mothers. We hereby invite participants and their mothers to showcase their culinary talent
and further deepen their bond.

Rules for reless cooking competition:-

1.) Participants may carry semi-cooked items.

2.) The students of the class will divide themselves into two teams comprising four
members each, and will register their groups with their respective class teachers latest by
Monday, 6th May, 2024.
3.) Participants are supposed to present a description of the food item they are preparing,
with the ingredients and the recipe followed (in written) to their Class Teachers.
4.) All the items required for cooking should be brought by the participants themselves,
including water. Only working table will be provided.
5.) Participants should not bring any cut, chopped or grated raw materials. They should
process it on the spot within the allotted time. Any item brought from outside will be strictly
disquali ed.
6.) Time limit: 1 hour. Those who exceed the time limit will be disquali ed.
7.) The evaluation will be based on the taste of the dish, nutritional value,
cleanliness and presentation and unique name of the dish.
The decision of the judges shall be nal.
8.) Participants are requested to choose a dish from the following items-Chaat, Golgappa,
Rolls, Dahi Vada, Sandwich, Sevpuri, Batatapuri, Different types of Salads. Any other
items that the students wish to make must be approved by the organisers beforehand.
9.) As we are celebrating Mother's Day, the participants should be
accompanied by their mothers. Students may use their mother's culinary experience to
enhance their performance.

The competition will be conducted on Saturday and Sunday, 11th and 12th May,
2024 at 7:30 a.m. in the school premises. The students of classes VIII-XII shall have
the competition on Saturday,11th May, 2024, whereas classes IV-VII will have it on
Sunday, 12th May, 2024 at 7:30am. We seek active participation from the students and
involvement from their mothers, to make our initiative a success.
