MALA's Easy Locator is an affordable ($8,500} GPH system de-
signed uniquely for the needs of the utility locate professional. The
RAMAC/X:!M is available with the XVI1 Monitor providing excel-
lent resolution. The XVI1 contains a fully sunlight readable trans-
reflective (TFT) display with a user friendly interface. The XVll
also seamlessly supports GPS for continuous positioning during
data collection. The XVll includes built-in software to manage
data collection for Object Mapper - powerful utility mapping soft-
ware developed by Mala. For the Easy Locator. Mala released the
IXM option, a new alternative to the kXM Monitor. With the IXM
it is possible to create a screen capture of the collected data in a .jpg image format and
upload it to your computer for printing. The IXM is also available in a plus version with
the trans-reflective screen (IXM-h). New Easy Locators can be ordered directly with the
IXM/IXM-i- or previously purchased EXM/EXM-i- can be sent back to Mala for an upgrade.

Metrotech
The 810 Dx Pipe and Cable Locator, a single fre-
quency high productivity instrument designed for
locating all types of buried utilities. The Model 810
Dx continues three decades of innovation by Intro-
ducing the constant current transmitter and a new-
ly designed ergonomic receiver. Utilizing unique
transmitter technology, the 810 Dx is capable of
the maximum power allowed using three levels of
output. Transmitter power levels are easily selected
using oversized buttons for a better tactile feel even when using gloves. Extra bright LEDs
illuminate the selected power level. The 810 Dx Transmitter is lightweight, making it easy
to carry to the work site, and specifically designed for rugged contractor environments.
For power, select from standard "D" cell alkaline or rechargeable NiMH batteries. The ergo-
nomic design of the receiver is immediately evident, with a special molded handle for add-
ed comfort reducing arm fatigue during those long days of utility locating. Large, bright
LCD, loudspeaker and intuitive operation make the 810 Dx receiver the most comfort-
