JOSEPH NGUYEN TAN TUOC MEETS WITH THE

MISSIONARIES OF FAITH IN THE JAPANESE MISSION
At 9:00 a.m. on March 19, 2024, Bishop Joseph Nguyen Tan Tuoc came to
Hodogaya Parish - where Father Paul Ha Minh Tu, M.F is performing his ministry
- and met with the brothers who is studying and ministering in Japan. Bishop
Joseph presided over the Mass to celebrate Solemnity of Saint Joseph, husband of
the Blessed Virgin Mary, prayed for the Vietnamese and Japanese Churches to
increasingly develop and advance in the life of faith.
At 2:30 p.m. on the same day, Bishop Joseph met with all the brothers. During the
meeting, he listened to them and expressed his sympathy, sharing and encouraged
them to complete the mission assigned by God and the Church.
MASS CELEBERATION FOR 43rd DEATH ANNIVERSARY OF
FATHER ANTON PHAN SI NGUYEN, FOUNDER OF THE INSTITUTE
OF GOD'S WORD
At 5:00 a.m., April 15, 2024, Father Joseph Phan Trong Quang, M.F. The General
Counsel of the Missionaries of Faith presided over the 43rd death anniversary
Mass of Father Anthony Phan Si Nguyen, founder and former Director of the
Monastery of the Word of God, the predecessor of the Vietnam Missionaries of
Faith Province, in holy cemetery of the Province. Concelebrating with him were
Provincial Father Peter and the priests of the province.
In the homily, former Provincial Father Thomas shared his faith experience
through the passage of God's word (John 6, 22-29); Besides, he also reminded the
liturgical community of their gratitude to their predecessor; remember Father
Anthony's merits and take on gratitude for him. Father Thomas also invited the
community to pray especially for Father Anthony so that his soul can see God's
Face forever.
MASS FOR THE DEATH ANNIVERSARY OF FATHER JAME AND
BROTHER VINCENT AT THE COMMUNITY OF THE WORD OF GOD
On the morning of May 16, at 5:00 a.m., the Word of God's community celebrated
the 10th anniversary of Fr. James Duong Duc Son, M.F and 2 years for Br. Vincent
Vu Hieu Nghia, M.F. In the sharing, Father Joseph, Provincial Secretary and
Counselor, also recalled the journey of dedication, sacrifices in the mission of
Father James and Brother Vincent during their lifetime.
During this Mass, Provincial Father Peter also announced the document
establishing the Provincial construction committee and appointed Father Dominic
Nguyen Cong Khuong, M.F as head of the committee. At the same time, Father
Dominic also took on the position of spiritual director of the vocation sponsoring
association and families of the Missionaries of Faith in overseas areas.
MASS OF THANKSGIVING FOR 14 YEARS OF PRIEST ORDINATION
OF THE PROVINCIAL FATHER PETER NGUYEN HUNG HAI, M.F.
In the spirit of gratitude, at 5:00 a.m., May 25, 2024, at the Monastery Community
of the Word of God, Provincial Father Peter Nguyen Hung Hai, M.F. and other
Fathers have celebrated a Mass of thanksgiving for the 14th anniversary of priestly
ordination. There was the participation of fathers and monks from the Word of
God Monastery community. This is a time for fathers to look back on the past
journey and give thanks for the gifts God has bestowed on the Priesthood.
Provincial Father Peter invites the community to give thanks to God for lovingly
calling him and other priests on the path of mission. He also hopes that the
community will continue to pray for them on the upcoming journey so that they
can fulfill the missions that God has entrusted through the Church.
SOLEMN MASS FOR THE HOLY TRINITY 2024 – TITLE OF THE
MISSIONARIES OF FAITH
On the Sunday after Pentecost, the Church joyfully celebrates the Solemnity of the
Holy Trinity. The Holy Trinity is also the title which the Missionaries of Faith has
chosen as the source for the spirituality and mission of the Congregation.
The Mass began at 5:30 a.m., at the Word of God's community, presided over by
Provincial Father Peter Nguyen Hung Hai, M.F. celebrant. Present at the Mass,
there were the fathers in the Monastery community, the fathers who are carrying
out their missions, the deacons, the teachers of the Academy, the Postulants and
the entire community of God's people.
Previously, together with the Missionaries of Faith Congregation, members of the
Vietnam Province celebrated the Triduum to celebrate the Holy Trinity, praying in
a special way for the Congregation, each member of the Congregation, and its
mission.
MASS REPEATING THE VOWS OF THE SEMINARIANS OF THE
PROVINCIAL MISSIONARIES OF THE FAITH OF VIETNAM
On Saturday, June 8, 2024, 42 brothers from the Francis Xavier Nguyen Van
Thuan Institute together renewed their vows for a period of 1 year to continue
living the Consecrated Life in the vocation of Missionaries of Faith.
Mass was celebrated at 5:00 a.m. at the Word of God's community, presided over
by Provincial Father Peter Nguyen Hung Hai, M.F; Joining in celebrating the Mass
were the fathers in the Monastery community, the fathers in the mission
communities, the deacons, the Postulants and the entire community of God's
people.
THANKGIVING MASS FOR BLESSING OF THE MISSION HOUSE –
VINH
At 08:30 on April 13, 2024, Father Peter Nguyen Van Vinh - General
Representative of Vinh Diocese solemnly celebrated the Mass of Thanksgiving,
Inauguration and Blessing of the Mission House - Vinh headquarters, belonging to
the Missionary of Faith, Province of Vietnam. Concelebrating the Mass of
thanksgiving was Father Jesus Dajac. M.F - Superior General of the Missionaries
of Faith, Father Peter Nguyen Hung Hai, M.F, Provincial of the Vietnam Province,
priests of the Missionaries of Faith, parish priests, priests of Vinh diocese.
FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT FOR CONGREGATIONS IN THE FEAST
DAY OF THE RESURRECTION OF THE LORD
With the theme "Let all become one", the Francis Xavier Nguyen Van Thuan
Institute organized an Inter-Congregation football tournament on Sunday,
December 28. April 2024.
Participating in this year's tournament are teams from St. Joseph Seminary of the
Archdiocese of Saigon, the Dominican Order, the Redemptorist Order and the
Jesuit Order. The players of each team had performed with the spirit of fierce
competition and hard fighting. The Redemptorist brothers' team excellently won
the gold cup with a final score of 1-0.
THE VIETNAMESE PROVINCIAL BOARD OF CHARITY DONATED
WHEELCHAIRS TO THE CARITAS COMMITEE OF KON TUM
DIOCESE
From April 14 - 16, 2024, the Charity Board of the Vietnamese Missionaries of
Faith Province cooperated with Caritas Diocese of Kontum to donate 100
wheelchairs to disabled people, patients and the elderly in Kontum diocese.
To meet the mobility needs of people here, the Provincial Charity Board has
distributed wheelchairs to parishes: Ang Leh, De Tul, Chu Dang Ya, K' Bang, Phu
Tho, Dong Son, Ia H ' Lop, Bon Oi Nu, Phu Tam, Klau Ro Ngol, Chanh Toa, Ko
Bei, Ko Bei Hmoong, Plei Don, Kon Solak, Kon Bo Ban. After the wheelchairs
were transported to the parishes, everyone gathered here to receive a very
meaningful and practical gift for their lives.
