I noticed a recent job vacancy announcement within your organization posted on January 17, 2024 for the position
of Regional Technical Coordinator, to be based in Somali, Ethiopia.
I graduated my BSc. Degree from Jimma University in Medical Laboratory Technology Science and Pathology in July
2013 with a CGPA of 3.5. I pursued my Master's degree in Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology at Debre Berhan
University, completed in July 2020 with a CGPA of 3.8 and received an "Excellent" score for my Master's Thesis.
My professional journey began with 4 years and 13 days as a Laboratory Technologist at Alem Ketema Enat
Hospital. During this period, I fulfilled various roles, including serving as the Laboratory Quality Management
Implementation focal person (Quality Officer), supporting the implementation of Laboratory Quality Management
Systems (LQMS) in eight healthcare laboratories, and conducting External Quality Assessment (EQA) for TB, HIV,
and Malaria diagnosis quality assessment, and participating in the catchment area health facilities health care
quality assessment team. I also acted as a focal person for various laboratory-related activities.
I have had diverse work experiences, including working as a Satellite Laboratory Supervisor on the EPHIA project at
ICAP-Ethiopia, participation in Measles outbreak management at Debre Berhan University in 2019, and
employment at Debre Berhan Health Science College as a Medical Laboratory Instructor and Department
Coordinator. In addition, I served as a Research Assistant for the PODTEC and ASTTIE projects at KNCV Tuberculosis
Foundation, and as a Research Officer for the ASCENT project, from on February 07, 2022, to November 30, 2022.
Throughout my career, I've been involved in clinical institutions, where I've worked as clinical staff, supervising and
monitoring healthcare systems. I've also held roles in academic institutions as an instructor and coordinator. I've
made also significant contributions in the NGO sector as a research assistant, Research Officer, and supervisor, on
tasks like data quality, coordination, supervision, research result reporting, manuscript writing, and various other
activities delegated by the office. With over a decade of professional experience, I've developed key working
behaviors:
