LASIK POST-OPERATIVE INSTRUCTIONS

Do’s
• Always wash your hands before putting eye drops.
• Use clean tissue to gently wipe or dab excess eye drops
• Wear your protective eye glasses for 1 week and even when sleeping.
• Lubricate eye drops as often as needed.
• Close your eyes as much as possible for 3 hours after surgery.

Don’t
• DO NOT RUB your eyes.
• Do not swim for a month.
• Do not wear eye make up for at least 2 weeks.
• Avoid smoky or dusty rooms or areas for 1 week after surgery.
• Do not wipe your eye every after instilling medication drop.

Precaution and Reminder:

• Use headband to absorb sweat when returning to physical activities.

• Always wear eye goggles during contact sport for a month.
• Report sudden blurring of vision.
• Report worsening pain accompanied with blurred vision.

Medication Instructions:
• Wait for 2-5 minutes in between every medication drop.
• Use artificial tears every one hour for 1 week then every 4 hours for 3
months.
• Instil antibiotic steroids drop as prescribed for (10 days)
