LASIK POST-OPERATIVE INSTRUCTIONS

Do’s
 Always wash your hands before putting eye drops.
 Use clean tissue to gently wipe or dab excess eye drops
 Wear your protective eye glasses for 1 week and even when sleeping.
 Lubricate eye drops as often as needed.
 Close your eyes as much as possible for 3 hours after surgery.

Don’t
 DO NOT RUB your eyes.
 Do not swim for a month.
 Do not wear eye make up for at least 2 weeks.
 Avoid smoky or dusty rooms or areas for 1 week after surgery.
 Do not wipe your eye every after instilling medication drop.

Precaution and Reminder:

 Use headband to absorb sweat when returning to physical activities.

 Always wear eye goggles during contact sport for a month.
 Report sudden blurring of vision.
 Report worsening pain accompanied with blurred vision.

Medication Instructions:
 Wait for 2-5 minutes in between every medication drop.
 Use artificial tears every one hour for 1 week then every 4 hours for 3
months.
 Instil antibiotic steroids drop as prescribed for (10 days)
