3. Morong lies in the western part of the province of Bataan,
bounded on the west by South China Sea, Bagac in the South,
Abucay,Samal, and Orani in the East, Hermosa and Dinalupihan in
the Northwest and Zambales to the North.
4. Morong, officially the Municipality of Morong, is a 3rd class
municipality in the province of Bataan, Philippines.
5. The vicinal location of Morong, Bataan nearest province are on
Zambales to the North, Pampanga to the North-East, and Bulacan
to the East. The insular location of Morong, Bataan are on South
China Sea to the West, Subic Bay to the North-West, and Manila
Bay to the East.
Place
1. The municipality is home to the Subic Bay International
Airport, the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant, and the former
Philippine Refugee Processing Center.
2. The east side of Morong are the mountain area where you can
find different waterfall like Kairukan falls the tallest waterfall
in Morong, Bataan.
3. The west side of Morong, Bataan is the coastal area that has
rivers connected to the sea also known as “wawa”.
4. There are different resorts along the coastal area of Morong,
Bataan.
5. To the North-East of Morong, Bataan you can find the famous
tourist spot the Hanging Bridge and beautiful river with clean
and clear water.

1.The town of Morong was originally known as “Bayandati” which was within the
jurisdiction of Nagbalayong.
2.When the Spaniards came to the Philippines, some of them arrived at this place.
Morong was established by the Franciscan friars in 1578.
3.Morong is known for its mountains and coastline where several tourist
attractions are suited such as the Pawikan Conservation Center and Bataan
National Park. Untouched gems of nature are located here.
4. The Aytas of Kanawan belong to the Magbukun tribe of Negritos who are
believed to be the first inhabitants of Morong, Bataan.
5. Ayta Magbukun occupies the Bataan Peninsula since time of immemorial owing
to the origin of its name which means “to separate” from the rest of Ayta language
groups.
Movement
1.At early times, the main source of income of the people of Morong was fishing,
farming and selling in Olongapo and Manila using boats and “ paraw”.
2.When Joaquin J. Linao was elected governor of Bataan before World War II, the
dream of the people to have a road from Morong to Balanga became a reality in 1969
and transportation using mini bus become.
3.Palay Production as of the year 2021 (2021 SPCIO-ECONOMIC PROFILE 2023), the
extent of the area utilized for palay cultivation was 1,126.25 hectares, which yielded
an estimated 4,705.97 metric tons, or 102,304 cavans of rice.
4.Fishing is one of the main source of income of the people of Morong where
fishermans exports fish in different town in Bataan such as in Balanga City.
5.Exports of other products like cashew nuts.
