Incident
• In August 2008, a driver took the decision to ignore his safe
journey plan from Muscat to a rig site. After visiting the rig, instead
of stopping at the rig camp he continued on at night and drove
from Burhan to Lekhwair. He rolled the vehicle 41 km before
Lekhwair and was thrown from the vehicle. He was not reported
missing and he died in the desert alone. He was not found until
the next morning by a passing driver.
