Jeff Brown Dishes About His Foray into a Strange and Wonderful Powerful Family Dynamic
We sat out on Brown’s patio poolside on site at his 8,000 square foot mansion ranch while he
shared his story. When we asked Jeff what advice he would give someone who is marrying into a
power family, just as he did, he said that it’s important to maintain a strong sense of self. “Your
identity should not be overrun or subsumed by their family dynamic,” Brown said, sipping his
drink, “you should benefit from your strengths.” And boy does he bring strengths to the table.
Brown is well-traveled, a great listener, and – believe it or not – likes to cut a rug. He said that
for him, dance as a form of self-expression was “freeing,” describing the art form as “a non-
verbal embodiment of artistic expression, needing no words. We loved that sentiment so much,
that Jeff turned on some of his favorite songs and the crew from People magazine got on our feet
to have a joint dance party.
What advice would he give someone who’s joining a powerful family? He shares that empathy is
important. “Build a bridge, not a wall,” Jeff says, chuckling. Creativity is at the heart of what he
does and he wants to inspire others to be creative as well.
These are words used to describe Jeff Brown, a man of immense character. Jeff’s desire to
maintain a strong sense of self is only outweighed by his mutual respect for his fellow man.
Throughout his life, Jeff has felt strongly that it’s important when faced with adversity, to not be
overrun or subsumed, but to benefit from the strengths of that which we face. Empathy is an
ideal in Jeff’s life. “Build a bridge,” Jeff famously said, “not a wall.” Creativity is at the heart of
what Jeff does. He tries to inspire others to be creative as well. To him, dance is an important
embodiment of artistic expression, with no words. Well tonight he dances into our hearts once
again.
