Ram Dass was a follower of Neem Karoli Baba.

Neem Karoli Baba does not follow the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita in his
philosophy.
Ram Dass aka Richard Alpert, he preaches also not following the Bhagavad Gita.

Ram Dass and his guru are mayavadi philosophers. This means that they are preaching
impersonalism.
This means that they preach that we dont need to pray to only the Supreme
Personality of Godhead, Krsna. They preach instead that its more important to just
Love, Serve, and Remember.

They believe that the impersonal Brahman aspect is basically the same as Krsna.

The concept that "Brahman is merely the bodily effulgence of Krishna" is a

theological view found within certain interpretations of Hindu scriptures,
particularly those associated with the Gaudiya Vaishnavism tradition. This view is
articulated in texts such as the Bhagavad Gita and the writings of A.C.
Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

In the Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 14, Verse 27, it is stated:

$$
\text{brahmaṇo hi pratiṣhṭhāham amṛitasyāvyayasya cha}
$$
$$
\text{śhāśhvatasya cha dharmasya sukhasyaikāntikasya cha}
$$
This translates to "I am the basis of the formless Brahman, the immortal and
imperishable, of eternal dharma, and of unending divine bliss."¹

Furthermore, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder of the International

Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), has written extensively on this topic.
He explains that the impersonal Brahman is the personal effulgence of Krishna and
that all living beings are parts and parcels of the Supreme Personality of Godhead,
Lord Sri Krishna².

These references highlight the belief that the impersonal, all-pervading spiritual
substance known as Brahman is ultimately emanating from the personal form of
Krishna, who is considered the Supreme Personality of Godhead in these traditions.
This perspective is central to the devotional practices and philosophical
understanding of Gaudiya Vaishnavism.
