How have covid 19
affected tourism?

COVID-19 has had a significant impact

on tourism worldwide. Travel
restrictions, lockdowns, and safety
concerns have led to a decrease in both
domestic and international travel.
Many tourist attractions have had to
close temporarily, and the hospitality
industry has also been severely
affected, with many hotels and
restaurants experiencing a drop in
business.
What are other countries
doing to reactivate
tourism?

In that sense, we have seen a lot of innovation,

with new models and mechanisms to gain
consumer trust: in the restaurant sector, the
diversification of services such as delivery or
dark kitchens stands out; In the case of hotels, a
digital transformation has occurred and towards
sustainability, offering safer experiences (with
health protocols, of course) and providing all the
facilities around the experience, in order to gain
and strengthen customer trust.
Can we use the same
techniques? why?

If the area is known for its outdoor activities,

you could focus on promoting local hikes or
camping trips. Or if you have a rich cultural
history, you can create virtual tours of historic
sites. The key is to be creative, flexible and
responsive to the changing situation.
