(Greetings) Ladies and Gentlemen,

I stand before you today as a student of year 8 aspiring to serve as your next Students
Representative Council’s General Secretary. I am driven by a deep sense of commitment to our
school community, and I am eager to serve you, represent your voices, your concerns, and your
aspirations
In my pursuit of this position, I am guided by the principles of Service, Integrity and Respect,
core values of our school, and I believe that they should be the foundation of effective
leadership and is crucial for fostering a positive and inclusive school environment. Also, as the
class prefect of year 8, I know I possess the required skills to take on such a position for
example, a general secretary is required to record the proceedings of all SRC meetings. I can
relate to this since I am very consistent with my notes from class discussions. Another is to keep
all SRC assets and documents, again I show this by keeping all learning resources in the form of
papers and books intact, providing when needed.
To sum it up, I am committed to creating a school environment that is guided by the
principles of service, integrity and respect. With all this being said, don’t you think I’m the
perfect candidate? Well, I certainly do, but I cannot undertake this endeavor alone, I need your
ideas, your support, and your vote. I am ready to listen, understand and to act, I hope I have
gained your support through this and hope you make the right decision.
