Instructions on Video Upload


CENTA® International Teaching Professionals’ Olympiad Finals

I. Shoot and prepare your video:

1. Preparation of Your Video: Before uploading, ensure that the video you want to upload
is saved on your mobile phone/laptop/desktop. Check the format of the video to ensure it
is compatible with YouTube's requirements. (MOVMPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG4, MP4,
MPG, AVI, WMV, MPEG-PS, FLV, 3GPP, WebM, DNxHR, ProRes, CineForm, HEVC
(h265)). The duration of the video should be between 5 - 7 minutes.

2. Renaming the Video to your respective International TPO ID: Before proceeding with
the upload, you'll need to rename the video file on your device to match the desired
International TPO ID. To do this, navigate to your device's file manager/gallery→Find &
select your video file for upload and long-press on it to bring up the renaming option.
Rename the file to the International TPO ID and save the changes. For example, if your
International TPO ID is - TPOQWERTY12345, rename the video file to
“TPOQWERTY12345” (without the inverted commas)

II. On the YouTube platform:

3. Open YouTube: Visit www.youtube.com from desktop or locate YouTube on your


device's home screen or in the app drawer. Tap on the YouTube icon to open.

4. Sign In/Create Account: If you already have a YouTube account, sign in using your
credentials (email address and password). If you don't have an account, tap on the "Sign
In" button and follow the prompts to create a new account.

5. Access Upload Functionality: Once signed in, locate the upload button within the
YouTube app. This is typically represented by a "+" or camera icon. Tap on this icon to
start the upload process.

6. Select Your Video: YouTube will prompt you to select the video you want to upload. Tap
on the option to select a video from your device's gallery or where the video is saved.
Tap on the one you wish to upload.

7. Add Video Details & Privacy Settings: After selecting the video, you'll be directed to a
screen where you can add details such as the video title, description, and privacy
settings. Or click on the pencil icon next to the video to edit details.

Enter your International TPO ID (e.g. TPOQWERTY12345) as the title for your video.
Write a brief description to provide context or additional information about the video.

Choose the privacy settings as unlisted. Double-check that all the information is correct,
including the title, description, and privacy settings. Tap on the "Upload" or "Done" button
to initiate the upload process.

8. Monitor Upload Progress: YouTube will begin uploading your file. You'll see a progress
bar indicating the upload status. The upload time will depend on the size of the video file
and your internet connection speed. Ensure that you have a stable internet connection
throughout the upload process.

III. Submission of the link

9. Obtain the Video Link: Once the upload is complete, you can obtain the link to your
video by accessing your YouTube channel or video manager. Open YouTube and
navigate to your channel or video manager section. Find the video you just uploaded
and tap on it to open it. On the video's page, tap on the "Share" button to reveal sharing
options. Tap on the "Copy Link" option to copy the video link to your device's clipboard.

10. Paste and Share the Link: With the video link copied to your device's clipboard, you
can now paste it wherever you want to share it.

11. Day of the Finals: During the finals, you will get access to a Google Form. After
recording your video component response, you can upload the recorded video to
YouTube and share the link with us via this form.
The same Google Form will also be shared with you by the CENTA team with your
credential detail email. You will have a 24-hour window to prepare, record, upload and
share the link with us via the Google form.
Please note that the duration of the video should be between 5 - 7 minutes. Any video
that is below 4 minutes in length will not be evaluated and the scorecard, accordingly,
will mention the details of the video component as “Video component not evaluated.”
