原因

Fan failure warnings may be caused by power supply issues. However, since a power cycle clears them, RecoverPoint Engineering believe
that in these events are benign (although they cannot state that these warnings are false 100% of the time). See Resolution.

1. Reboot the RPA.

2. If step one did not help, do the following:
1. Shut down the RPA
2. Remove the power cord from the power supply unit of the affected RPA (disconnect the cord from the PSU or unplug it from the
wall)
3. Wait for 10 seconds and reinsert the power cord and boot the RPA.
4. Monitor the environment (RPA and site power).
3. A solution exists for this issue but intervention from EMC Technical Support personnel is required. Support can change parameters to
�lter these events. Contact the EMC Customer Support Center or your service representative for technical assistance and quote this

By changing a tweak the customer can choose to ignore the messages.

This will only clear these warnings from the GUI so they do not bother them.

In case both Resolution step one, and two did not help, there might be an ongoing H/W issue, OR electricity supply issue (usually all RPA's
on the site are experiencing the problem), you can do the following:

• Disable fan monitoring by changing the tt__hhw

boxmgmt or someone with root access) and reboot the RPA.
• To change the tweak under boxmgmt account:

1. SSH to each RPA using boxmgmt account

2. Navigate to [2] Setup -> [5] System internal operations -> [3] Appliance con�g params -> [3] Change appliance con�g
param value then enter tt__hhw
