School Wide Goals:

Reading
Students will read fluently.
Writing
Students will write a complete sentence using grade appropriate structure and
complexity.
Math
Students will understand/use common mathematical vocabulary.

Grade Level Goals:

Reading- Smart Goal -3rd grade Reading- To improve DRA2 levels from 64%
of third graders proficient to 70% of third graders proficient.
Outcomes-
Students will improve fluency while reading.
Students will improve comprehension in reading.

Writing- Smart Goal -3rd grade Writing- To have 55% of third graders
proficient on the End of Year Writing Assessment.
Outcomes-
Students will write one properly composed paragraph.
Students will use writing tools to aid them in creating a piece. (i.e. Writer’s
Notebook, thesaurus, dictionary, etc.)

Math- Smart Goal- 3rd grade Math- To have 80% of students proficient on
the End of Year Math Assessment.
Outcomes-
Students will become proficient in addition and subtraction facts.
Students will understand/use common mathematical vocabulary.
Social Studies- Smart Goal- 3rd grade Social Studies- To have 70% of
students proficient on Social Studies Common Assessments.
Outcomes-
Students will use cardinal directions.
Students will properly read and use a variety of maps.
Students will work to meet state standards on the study of Michigan.

Science- Smart Goal-3rd grade Science- To have 70% of students proficient

on all four Science Common Assessments.
Outcomes-
Students will work to meet state standards on the study of Changes in Motion.
