Power Supply and Ground Cable

 The power cable and ground cable

terminals should be crimped firmly,
and the spring washers should be
pressed flat when crimping a bolt;
 Use copper lugs according to the core
diameters and bolt diameters. It is not
allowed to cut off partial core to suit a
small copper lug or cut open a copper
lug to suit a large bolt ;
Power Supply and Ground Cable
 The copper lugs and the bare part of
connected wire should be wrapped
tightly with insulating tape or
shrinkable tubes. When insulating
tape is applied, its color should
conform to the color label
requirements
Power Supply and Ground Cable
 When there are redundant crimping
positions on a power busbar and a
ground busbar, one bolt can only
crimp one terminal. When there are
inadequate crimping positions on a
power busbar and a ground busbar,
one bolt can crimp two terminals at
most;
 A flat washer and spring washer
should be used to crimp a copper lug
bolt, and the spring washer should be
placed between the flat washer and
the nut
Power Supply and Ground Cable
 The cabinet with duplicate power
supply inputs should be connected to
two different ways of power supply in
the power room;
 Each power module of a device (like a
server or disk array) with duplicate
power supply modules in a server
cabinet should be connected reliably
to two different ways of AC power
supply
Power Supply and Ground Cable
 The power cable and ground cable
should be made of whole stranded
copper cores, without any joint in
between. The insulating layer should
be intact and sound. The redundant
part should be cut off, without any coil
or continual bending;
 The cable routing of the power cable
and ground cable system should
meet the design file requirements, or
meet the user’s requirements if there
is no design file;
Power Supply and Ground Cable

 The power cable, signal cable, and tail fiber should be bundled and wired
separately. The power cable and signal cable outside a cabinet should be
spaced over 5cm apart, without overlapping and mixture;
Power Supply and Ground Cable

 Follow the product installation manual to use the power cable and working
ground cable with required core diameters,(and the same color) or just
follow the design requirements;
 The racks and cable distribution frames should have complete ground
cables installed, and the protection ground cables for multiple racks with
different module numbers should not be connected serially

Cable and Tail Fiber

 In the case of upward cabling, the cables should be mounted directly

along the cabling rack, and should not be laid tightly against the heat-sink
panel on the top of the cabinet. When cabling along the upper part of the
cabinet is necessary, the cables should be spaced 10cm away from the
heat-sink panel on the top of the cabinet.
Cable and Tail Fiber
 The downward cables, when piled up
on the floor, cannot exceed 3/4 of the
floor height,
 or ventilation and heat dissipation may
be affected;
 For the cables outside a cabinet, the
part over one meter away from the
cabinet is not allowed to intercross;
Cable and Tail Fiber
 The power cable, signal cable, and
tail fiber should be bundled and wired
separately .The power cable and
signal cable outside a cabinet should
be spaced over 5cm apart, without

overlapping and mixture;
 The insulating jacket of a cable is in
good condition, without core exposed
 The cables on a cabling rack should
be bound;
Cable and Tail Fiber
 In a cabinet, the cables on the two
sides should be wired in a correct
sequence. That is, the cables wired
farther should be bundled on the side
far from the connection position, and
the cables wired nearer should be
bundled on the side closer to the
connection position;
Cable and Tail Fiber
 For the field-made trunk cables with
multiple cores, the cores of the same
cable may have different lengths
according to connection positions.
The cabling radians of the cores are
basically uniform. The insulating layer
of a jacket should have its crack, if
any, inside the horizontal cabling
trough;
Cable and Tail Fiber

 After a prefabricated multi-core trunk cable is plugged onto the backboard,

the actual cable length (from the leading-out point to the connector end)
outside the horizontal cabling trough should be equal to the sum of the
horizontal and vertical distances from the leading-out point to the socket,
allowing an error of 0 - +5%. The cabling radians of the cores are basically
uniform ;

Cable and Tail Fiber
 The reserved wires at the rear
side of the DDF, MDF and
ODF terminal boards should
be orderly, with basically
uniform radian and length.
There served wires are long
enough when they will not
prevent the terminal boards
from turnover during
debugging;

Power cables subscriber cables

When the bundled cables make a turn, the

straps should be applied to the two sides of
the turn to avoid breaking the cores by
excessive force on the turn

trunk cables
Cable and Tail Fiber

 Cable surface should be clean without

construction marks, and the insulating
layer of a jacket is undamaged;
Cable and Tail Fiber
 When the straps are tightened, the
redundant part should be cut off from
the root,leaving no burr. When used
outdoors, the strap end can be
reserved properly without any burr, but
there should not be more than 10
holes;
Cable and Tail Fiber
 When the strapped cables are laid, the
straps of the harnesses running in the
same direction should face their heads in
the same direction;
 In the case of wiring outside a rack, the
straps of the cables laid on the floor
should be spaced at intervals of 3-4 times
the diameter of the cable bundle. The
maximum spacing between the straps on
a horizontal cabling rack should not be
over two times the spacing of horizontal
iron bars of this cabling rack. On a vertical
cabling rack, the cables should be
strapped at each horizontal iron bar ;
Cable and Tail Fiber

 For subscriber line cables or jacketed twisted-pair cables, any crack on

the insulating layer of their jackets must be bound and sealed with
insulating tape;
 he spacing between straps along cables in a horizontal cabling trough: the
cables should be strapped once behind the upper horizontal holder, and
the spacing between the straps in the horizontal direction should not be
larger than 20cm ;
Cable and Tail Fiber

irregular & unorderly

Cable and Tail Fiber
The downward cables should be orderly

Cable and Tail Fiber
 The tail fiber that leaves a fiber
splitting box or is wired outside a rack
or between a rack and a tail fiber
trough should wear a protection tube;
 As for the protection tube of tail fiber,
its end that enters a rack or tail fiber
trough should extend inside the rack
or tail fiber and is fixed. There should
be no heavy object crossing through
the protection tube;
Cable and Tail Fiber
 The cut at the end of a tail fiber tube
should be neat without burr, and the
joint or end of a tube should be bound
with electrical insulating tape to
prevent cutting the tail fiber;

Cable and Tail Fiber

The tail fiber should wear a protection tube

Cable and Tail Fiber

The cables and tail fibers in a rack should be bound

firmly,without suspended wires

Cable and Tail Fiber

The optical fiber cables should be winded around by using the

ripple tube to avoid any damage due to scratched by the rack sharp
edge
Cable and Tail Fiber

Cable and Tail Fiber

 In a cabinet, the straps that fix tail fiber

should not be over-tightened, so that
the tail fiber can move freely in the
strap ring. There should be no other
cable pressing on the tail fiber. The tail

fiber, when coiled, should have a
diameter larger than 80mm;
Cable and Tail Fiber
 The surplus tail fiber should be coiled
neatly in a tail fiber box or into a circle
and fixed;

 The unused tail fiber and its optical
connector should be preserved with a
protection tube;

Cable and Tail Fiber
 After a subscriber cable (or multi-core
twisted-pair cable) is stripped, the
stripped position should be bound with
insulating tape or heat-shrinkable tube;
