Feet: Make 4. With Grey

4 – sc all the way around BACK LOOPS ONLY (18)
5-6 – sc all the way around (18)
Change color to white, stuff what you have so far with fiber fill
7 - *sc, sc, sc2tog* repeat 3x, sc sc (14)
8-10 – sc all the way around (14)
11 - *sc, sc, 2sc* repeat 3x, sc sc (18)
12-13 – sc all the way around (18)
14 - *sc, sc2t0g* repeat 5x (12) fill with more fiber fill.
15 - *sc2tog* repeat 9 times until closed.
Tie off leave length for sewing to body.
With about 12” grey yarn on a needle, pull the needle through
the magic circle on the bottom of foot and the line between
where the grey and white meet. Pull tight and tie a knot
pinching the foot creating the split hoof. Pull the needle
through a few more times securing the knot. Tie off and
weave in ends.

Eyes:
Pua’s spotted right eye, With white,
1 – sc 6 in mc, pull tight. sl st next st to join
Change color to grey
2 – 2sc in same first st, sc next, 2 sl st next, 2 sl st next, 2 sl st next, 2sc in the next 3
3 – 2 sc, 2 sc, sl st into next 6 (previous sl st stitches) sc, sc, sc, sc, 2sc, sc, slt st. (16)
4 – ch 1 TURN sl st, sc, sc. (upper edge)
Change color to black, sc in same st, sc, sc, sc, sl st next. Tie off. (eye brow)
Note: if you crochet over your ends you will get a neater finish as you go.
Big Note: I’m left handed, this eye is specific but looks the same from front to back. If you are a lefty great! Complete as
noted. If you are right handed, complete as noted but you will have to pull your ends to the opposite side before sewing onto
Pua’s head so the eye looks right on the right side.
Pua’s white left eye:
1 – sc 6 in mc, pull tight. sl st next st to join. Tie off and leave length for sewing.

For BOTH eyes place the 10mm safety eye to the side of the magic circle. NOT center. Then sew to the head between the 9th
and 10th rows of head, eyes about 6 stitches apart. With a little extra black yarn on the needle sew a little line along the top of
the white magic circle above each eye.
Above the left eye eyebrow: with black, 4 scfs, sc, sl st and pull through. Use length for sewing above left eye.

 Tail:
With white
Hdc fs 8, ch 1, turn 90 degrees, hdc over each foundation stitch. Put to the side.
With grey make a yarn bundle about 3 fingers long. (Wrap about 15 times around 3 fingers, cut at one end and use one strand
to tie them all together in the center.) Tie bundle to end of foundation stitch where you ended. Wrap foundation stitch and
hdc row around yarn ends. Ch 1, put hook into hdc st and fs and slip stitch closed. Repeat down the tail. Tie off. Leave length
for sewing to bottom end of Pua’s body. Trim grey bundle even to desired length.

Spots:
With Grey
Big: Into a magic circle – sc, sc, hdc, hdc, hdc, dc, dc, dc, hdc, hdc, sc, sc, pull tight. Go back around circle putting the same
stitch 2 times into each st. (2sc, 2sc, 2hdc, 2hdc, 2hdc, 2dc, 2dc, 2dc, 2hdc, 2hdc, 2sc, 2sc.) sl st to join. Tie off sew to Pua’s
back.
Small {make 6}: Into magic circle – hdc, hdc, hdc, hdc, hdc, hdc, dc, dc, hdc. Pull tight. Tie off and sew to Pua’s head, ear, and
legs.
Finishes:

Eye and Nose Placement and finishes Large and small spots. Tail and spot placement.

With black
yarn in the
needle, thread
little nostrils in
the nose. Attach the back legs at an
angle open pointed out
Attach the front legs closer to
the center of the body close
together pointed down.
