In crafting these poems, I aimed to engage with different poetic movements while delving into the themes of perception

and truth in a manner that feels accessible and

relatable.

-For the first poem, I chose the British Romantic movement, drawn to its celebration of nature and emotion. The rondeau form, with its repeating refrain, felt like the
perfect vessel for exploring the idea of perception. I envisioned a wilting flower as a symbol of resilience, showing that even in moments of adversity, there's still beauty
and strength to be found. By personifying the flower and highlighting its perseverance, I aimed to convey the message that our perception of a situation can greatly
influence how we interpret it. The structured elegance of the rondeau allowed me to capture the beauty of nature while emphasizing the enduring power of perception.

-In the second poem, inspired by Modern poetry, I turned to the sestina form to delve into the complexities of truth and human emotion. The fragmented narrative of a
love tainted by shame and desire reflects the often messy and contradictory nature of truth. Through the repetition of key words and phrases, I aimed to convey the
cyclical nature of the speaker's inner conflict and the relentless struggle to reconcile conflicting emotions. By exploring the themes of guilt, desire, and redemption, I
sought to highlight the human experience of grappling with difficult truths. Modern poetry – sestina - truth

-Lastly, I turned to Metaphysical poetry for the third poem, seeking to explore deeper existential truths in a more abstract and contemplative manner. Embracing the
freedom of free verse, I employed imagery of the cosmos and the human soul to convey the transcendental nature of truth. Through rhythmic language and vivid imagery,
I aimed to capture the fluidity and dynamism of our relationship with truth, highlighting its ever-changing and elusive nature. By inviting readers to ponder the mysteries
of existence and the nature of reality, I hoped to create a sense of connection and understanding that transcends the limitations of language. Metaphysical – free
verse - truth
