GTE – Genuine Temporary Entrant

Sponsors: only 1st blood relatives.

1. Parents
2. Grandparents
3. Uncle/aunt
4. Siblings

Required documents

Note: All GTE documents should be colour scanned and notarized except Financials.

1. Passport of student –all 36 pages – ( old passport too if any )


2. Academics & IELTS/PTE
3. Affidavits of sponsors and student – make sure university name. program and campus
should be mentioned in sponsors affidavit
4. ID proofs of Sponsors and student – Adhaar card and PAN card
5. ITRS of sponsors – minimum 2 years and minimum income should be 10 lacs combined
(MOTHER +FATHER). If add another sponsor university need 15 lac ITR’S.
6. Business proof of sponsors – MSME certificate with Annexure/ GST no. certificate

If Salaried – Job ID proof + 6 month salary account statement

If pension – Pension order + 6 month pension account statement

If agricultural income – Income certificate + J forms

Note: J forms alone will not be acceptable and income on agricultural certificate should match the
amount mentioned in ITRs.

7. Signed offer letter


8. Funds -
a. Fixed deposits + balance certificate – minimum 3 months old FDR ( 6 month old
preferred ) with recent dated balance certificate
b. Savings account + balance certificate – 6 months bank statement with recent dated
balance certificate - no large amount should be credited within 3 months otherwise
source will be required with documentary evidence.
c. Educational loan – loan disbursement letter
d. Personal loan – acceptable only if it is mentioned in the loan letter that this fund will
be used for fee payment along with university name, program name and campus.
e. GPF/PPF – cannot be used until unless transferred to savings and GPF/PPF
statement will act as a source
f. Gold loan not acceptable except Stanley college
g. Current account funds not acceptable

10. University GTE checklist form or financial declaration form or student declaration form – if
applicable
11. CA Report
12. GTE matrix form
13. Gap justification for masters- if working, provide Job Id, appointment letter & salary account
statement. For cash in hand, ITRs of student for that working time period with salary slips.

CALCULATION OF FUNDS REQUIRED :

1. Living expense – 24,505 AUD ( fixed amount)


2. Travel expense – 2000 AUD ( fixed amount )
3. Tuition fees – 1 year as per mentioned in offer letter

Note: calculate 1 year fees from the total fees for the program without any scholarship.

If total fees is 80,000 AUD for 3 years of program then 1 year fees would be 80000/3= 26,666 AUD

4. OSHC – as per mentioned in offer letter.

Total funds required = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4

For example, if a 1 year tuition fee for Latrobe University is 36,100 AUD and OHSC amount is
2227 AUD

Then total funds required = 24,505 + 2000 + 36100 + 2227

= 64,832 AUD

= 35, 17,000 INR (1 AUD = 55 INR)

GTE basic Requirements and some key points :

 For Group of 8 universities – 15 lacs income is required of parents alone


 Bank manager visiting card is required and balance certificates should be on bank’s
letterhead
 Agricultural income should not be much greater than business income for the
universities with third party
 For both bachelors and masters, 28-35 lacs of funds required
 50-60% of the funding should be from parents only, 40% could be from other
sponsors. Try to provide 70-80% of the funds from parents.
 Victoria University, University of Tasmania does not accept agricultural income
including poultry farming, dairy farming and piggery.
 For spouse case, ITRs of parents and In-laws with funding from both sides are
preferred to make the case strong.
