PRE-ACTIVITY: BUSINESS PLAN

I. NAME OF THE BUSINESS


The Rangoon Bistro was chosen as our business name to complement the
essence of our cooking and dining experience. “Rangoon” reflects our expertise in
making the best Crab Rangoon and other Rangoon with different sauces on the
side that will complement the taste of our Rangoons. It is the favorite appetizer in
town known for its crispy crust and delicious taste. The “Bistro” creates a
comfortable and friendly dining environment where guests can enjoy a variety of
delicious Rangoons. This name reflects our passion for combining traditional
Asian flavors with a modern comfortable dining room, making this the perfect
place for customers looking for comfort and quality.
II. BUSINESS OWNERS
Precious Jane A. Petalio, CMA. After graduating from the Polytechnic
University of the Philippines with a program of Bachelor of Science in
Management Accounting she took a certification of a professional credential for
management accounting. After passing the CMA Exam, her aunt encouraged her
to go to Canada and work as an internal auditor in one of the big four accounting
firms, Deloitte Canada.
Leah V. Pagunsan, CMA. After graduating from the Polytechnic University of
the Philippines with a program of Bachelor of Science in Management
Accounting, she chose to work in a small liaison company in order to gain
experience. After a year of working, she then chose to take a certification of a
professional credential for management accounting. After passing the CMA
Exam, she grabs this opportunity to work in one of the big four accounting firms
in the Philippines, Isla Lipana & Co. as a Financial Analyst.
Alena Joy D. Gementiza, CMA. After graduating from the Polytechnic
University of the Philippines with a program of Bachelor of Science in
Management Accounting, she chose to develop her skills and gain experience in
the banking industry. She works in BDO for 2 years and after resigning she took
her CMA Exam. As she passed the exam, she was given an opportunity to work
also in one of the big four accounting firms in the Philippines, SGV & Co. (Ernst
& Young) as an Accounting Manager.

Zybelle Juzzane B. Dalisay, CMA. After graduating from the Polytechnic


University of the Philippines with a program of Bachelor of Science in
Management Accounting, she immediately took the certification of a professional
credential for management accounting. After she became a CMA, she was hired
by the BIR and worked there for a year. After gaining experience and skills, she
resigned and worked as a cost accountant at KPMG R.G. Manabat and Co. one of
the Big Four accounting firms.

III. NATURE OF BUSINESS

We Filipinos love snacking on an appetizer before we eat the main meal. Rangoon
is one of the appetizers that Filipinos need to taste and appreciate. The Rangoon
Bistro presents itself as a culinary bridge, seamlessly blending the exotic flavors
of Burma with the vibrant tastes of the Filipino palate. Its nature of business
revolves around offering an authentic yet adapted Burmese dining experience
tailored to the local market. The restaurant achieves this through a carefully
curated menu that features traditional Burmese dishes infused with Filipino
ingredients and flavors. From signature dishes like Mohinga with locally sourced
seafood to innovative creations like Lumpia-inspired Crab Rangoon, The

IV. WHY DID WE CHOOSE THIS BUSINESS

We chose The Rangoon Bistro as our business because it offers a unique
