Program Goals:

I strongly believe that this program will prepare me for a transformation and to
take a proactive role in giving new meanings to the concepts of energy interest
and policies related to it. I aspire to be a data-driven analyst for energy and
environmental policies to find estimators that have desirable

The mission of the Energy Resources Engineering major is to provide students with the
engineering skills and foundational knowledge needed to flourish as technical leaders within
the energy industry. Such skills and knowledge include resource assessment, choices among
energy alternatives, and carbon management, as well as the basic scientific background and
technical skills common to engineers. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for
immediate participation in many aspects of the energy industry and graduate school.

To provide students with systems-oriented graduate-level knowledge in the fields of energy

systems engineering.

Learning Outcomes:

The MSE (EE), MSE (CE), and MSE (ESE) programs are designed so that graduates will have:

a) a strong foundation the theoretical principles and techniques from science, engineering, and
mathematics needed for advanced engineering design and development. (Tag: Theory)

b) an ability to use modern engineering software, processes, devices, and diagnostic tools for
advanced engineering design and development. (Tag: Tools).
