Introduction

Heart rate monitoring is a vital aspect of maintaining heart health. People from
different age groups have different ranges for maximum and minimum values of heart
rate, the monitoring system must be compatible enough to tackle this scenario.

An IoT based system has been implemented that can monitor the heartbeat from the
output given by a hardware system consisting of a NodeMCU and pulse sensor.

3
Objectives

 The heartbeat data and other personal details of the patient are stored in the cloud,
this can be utilized for future studies on the health condition of the patient. The
prototype is realized using NodeMCU, pulse sensor, Adafruit, and Blynk cloud.

 By using this prototype the doctors can access the heartbeat data of the patient from
any location. The nurses or the duty doctor available at the hospital can monitor the
heart rate of the patient in the serial monitor through the real-time monitoring
system.

Cardiac monitoring generally refers to continuous or A pulse watch, also known as a pulsometer or
intermittent monitoring of heart activity, generally by pulsograph, is an individual monitoring and
electrocardiography, And Its Costly and not user measuring device with the ability to measure heart or
Friendly. pulse rate. Detection can occur in real time or can be
saved and stored for later review.

Why Monitoring...?

In Bangladesh 27% of people die of Heart attack every year.

It would be helpful if there was a way for these people to

monitoring their heart.

That is the Way our project on how we can utilize this problem
and find a solution.

Advantegs

 People monitor their heart rate through this system.

 Can access the heartbeat data of the patient from any location.

16
Limitations

 In-accurate method of calculating heartbeat.

 This is now for a single user uses only.
 For Web view used local host server.

17
Future Work

 Using image processing to identify authentic people.

 Developing an application to awareness about health safety to the
people.
 Heart Attack Detection.
 More Then a Single people at different places can be monitored using
single system.
