needed in the design of the foundation for the above-mentioned project.
For your consideration, please find below our formal proposal under the following terms and conditions:
1. SCOPE OF WORK
A. Soil Drilling and Sampling
Proposed location will be investigated by three (3) boreholes with depth of 15 meters on soil formation
or until three (3) consecutive refusal by using manual/cathead-rotary drilling machine in combination
with (SPT), adapting a continuous sampling technique for soil drilling.
In mountainous to hilly terrain, where transporting and the use of rotary drilling machine is not feasible
due to absence of access road, cuthead/manual drilling will be employed in combination with Standard
Penetration Test (SPT) to perform the required soil investigation.
Standard Penetration Test (SPT) shall be performed at 1.00m. interval using a 50-mm O.D. split spoon
sampler driven by a 63.6 kg hammer falling at 76.0cm (30 inches) whenever soil is encountered.
Competent Geologist will log soil/rock samples.
All measurements, observation and other pertinent data such as location, water table and site geology
shall be recorded in appropriate geologic boring logs.
Appropriate ASTM standard will be followed in the drilling and sampling procedures.
B. Laboratory Testing
Routinary laboratory tests shall be performed on soil samples recovered on SPT samples such that
reliable classification, identification and determination of the physical properties of the sub-surface
materials and analysis can be carried out.
Routine Laboratory Testing comprises a). Soil Classification, b). Grain Size Analysis, c). Atterberg
Limits and d). Natural Moisture Content.
LOCATION AMOUNT
