POLICY STATEMENT

1.1 Pinetown Printers is committed to the health and safety of its employees and non-employees. As a result,
Pinetown Printers and its various employees shall apply effective health and safety measures in order to
ensure the health and safety of all employees and non-employees, as contemplated in Sections 8 and 9 of the
OHSA.

1.2 Pinetown Printers, its management and employees will take reasonably practicable steps to ensure that the
provisions of the OHSA, and the OHSA Regulations are complied with, including, but not limited to:

1.2.1 Providing and maintaining, as far as is reasonably practicable, a working environment that is safe and
without risk to the health of employees and non-employees;

1.2.2 Providing and maintaining systems of work, plant and machinery that, as far as is reasonably practicable,
are safe and without risks to health;

1.2.3 Taking such steps as may be reasonably practicable to eliminate or mitigate any hazard or potential
hazard to the safety or health of employees and non-employees, before resorting to Personal Protective
Equipment (“PPE”);

1.2.4 Making arrangements for ensuring, as far as is reasonably practicable, the safety and absence of risks to
health and safety in connection with the production, processing, use, handling, storage or transport of
articles or substances;

1.2.5 Establishing, as far as is reasonably practicable, what hazards to the health or safety of persons are
attached to any work which is performed, any article or substance which is produced, processed, used,
handled, stored or transported and any plant or machinery which is used in the business, and the
establishment of what precautionary measures should be taken with respect to such work, article,
substance, plant or machinery in order to protect the health and safety of persons, and provide the
necessary means to apply such precautionary measures;

1.2.6 Providing such information, instructions, training and supervision as may be necessary to ensure, as far
is as reasonably practicable, the health and safety at work of employees and non-employees;

1.2.7 As far is as reasonably practicable, not permitting any employee and non-employee to do any work or to
produce, process, use, handle, store or transport any article or substance or to operate any plant or

machinery, unless the precautionary measures contemplated above, or any other precautionary
measures which may be prescribed, have been taken;

1.2.8 Taking all necessary measures to ensure that the requirements of the OHSA are complied with by every
person;

1.2.9 Enforcing such measures as may be necessary in the interest of health and safety;

1.2.10 Ensuring that work is performed and that plant or machinery is used under the general supervision of
the person trained to understand the hazards associated with it and who has the authority to ensure
that the precautionary measures determined by Pinetown Printers are implemented;

1.2.11 Causing all employees and non-employees to be informed regarding the scope of their authority, as
contemplated in Section 37 (1) (b) of the OHSA.

1.2.12 Involving stakeholders, including but not limited to health and safety representatives and health and
safety committee members.
