CIVIL WORKS GEOTHERMAL FCRS & POWER PLANT PROJECT

1. Introduction
This method statement will explain about the MSE wall work sequences, especially to
prioritize the MSE wall of section B. The purpose of this method is to catch up the
progress of the MSE wall section B, C, F, and G that later will be used for lay down area
and heavy equipment placing when installing the CCB steel structures and transformer
equipment.

2. Scope of works
Scope of works on this method are as follow:
- MSE wall embankment section B to the bottom level of section C.
- Scrapping maneuver area of MSE access road.
- Continue embankment of section B and C parallelly to the bottom level of section
G
- Dismantling MSE access road.
- Continue embankment of section B, C, and G parallelly to the bottom level of
section F.
- Finishing MSE wall embankment of section B, C, G, and section F including the
cable tray beam foundation installation.
- Start MSE wall embankment of MSE wall section A and A1.

3. Materials
- Safety line
- Safety sign
- Rockfill (granular) material for MSE Wall
- Geotextile PEC 50 & PEC 75
- Perforated pipe

4. Schedule and organization chart

The schedule will be recruited as the following table:

7. Method of works

MSE wall work sequences

7
7.1. Embankment Step 1

o Install perforated drainage layer and MSE wall embankment at section B

to the bottom level of section C (el. 1365.4 m).
o Volume embankment step 1 approximately 898.59 m3.
o After finished to bottom level of section C, start preparation works for
embankment step 2 below.

7.2. Embankment step 2

8
o After step 1 finished, stock the MSE material filler to east side of the MSE
wall (approx. 1000 – 2000 m3).
o Stocking material is necessary due to MSE access road that will be
demolished later.

o After stock material is considered sufficient, close the access road and
stop material mobilization, and start to shift the cross drainage that
previously at the bottom part of the MSE access to top side of MSE
access as figure above (detail in figure 8.1).
o Cast the cross drain so the access road can be passed again.
o Scrap the concrete at maneuver area and flatten the area and then
demolish the bottom side of MSE access road. Concrete rubbish will be
placed around Wika’s GPP office as surface pavement.
o Parallelly install sloping works step 1 at section C and section G.

9
o Continue on MSE wall embankment of section B and C parallelly to
bottom level of section G (el. 1372 m).
o Volume embankment step 2 approximately 9328.12 m3.
o Continue preparation works for embankment step 3.

7.3. Embankment step 3

o Stock the MSE material filler as a preparation works, approximately 1000

– 2000 m3.

10
o After stocking material finished, stop the material mobilization to MSE
wall, and then start to dismantle the MSE access road completely until the
cross drain.
o Parallelly install sloping step 2 at section C and G to top level of MSE
wall.

o Continue on embankment of section A (el. 1373 to 1376), B, C, and

section G to the bottom level of section F (el. 1376.3).
o Volume embankment step 3 approximately 17381.4 m3.

11
7.4. Embankment step 4

o After step 3 finished, continue on embankment step 4.

o Start embankment from MSE wall section A1, A, B, C, G, and section F to
the top level of MSE wall (el. 1382 m).
o Volume embankment step 4 approximately 8216.92 m3.

8. Drainage shifting plan

- Existing condition of side drainage and cross drain of MSE access road.

12
8.1. Drainage shifting

o Shifted drainage.
o Before MSE access road demolished, the cross drain should be shifted
first.

9. Backfill and sloping plan area section C & G.

- Backfill and sloping plan area section C & G
