Diet Plan - Advised for Heart Disease

I have recommended a diet plan for 4 days with a variety of foods / recipes that can be
mixed and matched to make the perfect meal.

It is generally advised to eat a good breakfast and lunch with a very light dinner.

Avoid Tea / Caffeine and use Black Coffee or Kashmiri Tea if possible.

Day 1:

● Breakfast:
● Oatmeal / Whole Wheat Bread with fresh berries / cherries or citrus fruits .
Add almonds and a small amount of pure honey.

● 1 cup of low-fat milk ( without malai) or unsweetened almond milk or


coconut milk.

● Lunch:
● Grilled chicken in a salad with mixed leafy lettuce, tomato slices
cucumbers, carrots, and extra virgin olive oil dressing.
● Whole-wheat half chapati with lentils boiled.

● Dinner:
● Apple on empty stomach
● Grilled / Baked salmon fish with dressing / marination of lemon juice,
garlic, and other herbs.
● Mixed semi-boiled vegetables (bell peppers, onions, and spinach, steamed
broccoli )
● NO WHEAT / WHOLEGRAIN at Dinner.

Day 2:
● Breakfast:
● Low-Fat yogurt with sliced banana and whole wheat oatmeal.
● Handful of mixed nuts.

● Lunch:
● Grilled chicken with whole-wheat chapati, lettuce, tomato.
● Carrot with hummus ( chick peas / chola, kunzaley, lemon juice, a bit of
garlic blended with a spoon of olive oil )

● Dinner:
● Lentil soup with chopped semi-boiled vegetables (carrots, lettuce,
tomatos)
● Whole-grain garlic bread.
● Mixed green salad with vinaigrette dressing.

Day 3:

● Breakfast:
● Whole-grain toast topped with desi butter and handful of almonds.
● Semi-boiled egg (WhiteHard / Soft Yolk.)
● Grapefruit slices / Strawberry / Avocado .

● Lunch:
● Salad with black beans, corn, bell peppers, tomatoes, and cilantro / dhania
with lemon dressing.
● Low-fat yogurt bowl.

● Dinner:
● Grilled fish with bell peppers, onions, and zucchini.
● Brown rice.
● Steamed asparagus / broccoli.

Day 4:

● Breakfast:
● Fruit yogurt smoothie with banana, frozen berries ( Available in HBK)
● Whole-grain toast with desi butter.

● Lunch:
● Grilled whole grain bread with vegetables such as roasted eggplant,
zucchini, bell peppers.
● Mixed green salad with olives, mushrooms, bell peppers in extra virgin
olive oil.
● Dinner:
● Baked chicken breast seasoned with herbs and served with baked sweet
potatoes and green beans.
● No Wheat / Rice / Bread..
