Abstract

This action research investigated the effectiveness of eLAS-SSLF2FC in Improving the Skills of
Grade 6 learners for School Year 2020-2021. It is a digitized Powerpoint tool for learning
interaction. This study used a quasi-experimental particularly One-Group Pretest-Posttest
Research Design and employed a random sampling for the selection of the participants. Data were
analyzed and tabulated using mean, standard deviation, paired-sample t-test, Eta-squared, and
thematic analysis. The results showed that the posttest mean scores significantly increased after
using the intervention as compared to their pretest mean scores. This implied that there was an
increased on their performance and the participants have improved about the certain competency
Rotation and Revolution of the Earth. It further implied an increase in scores was attributed to the
use of eLAS-SSLF2FC. The eta squared, mean, standard deviation, and t-test results supported the
findings on the large effect of the tool to improve learning competence among learners. Therefore,
it is recommended that Science teachers may welcome the intervention in improving learners’
performance. Such a tool will provide learners not only an opportunity to master competence in a
specific learning area, but also to stimulate creativity and love towards the subject. Furthermore,
teachers are encouraged to register and attend webinars, trainings, and workshops and, conduct
parallel studies through a research-based approach to validate the result and School Heads may
consider including the continuous utilization of eLAS-SSLF2FC in the school program for its
effective and efficient implementation. Moreover, a learning and development plan was crafted to
improve and further develop the intervention.
