B.E I YEAR II SEMESTER CIE-1 PRACTICAL EXAMINATIONS
GUIDELINES TO STUDENTS 2023-24
Timings: Forenoon-9:30AM TO 12:30AM & Afternoon-1:30PM-4:30PM
B.E I Year II Semester CIE-1 Practical Laboratory Examinations is scheduled to be held from 20th June 2024 to 26th June 2024 In this regard,
students are instructed tofollow the below mentioned guidelines for Smooth Conduct of Examinations:

 Practical Exam Syllabus & Question Paper Format:


a) Topics which are covered in labs will be given in the examination. Students can contact the concerned lab faculty for the same.
b) Question paper pattern will be informed by the concerned lab faculty.
 Duration: 3 Hours [Question Paper Reading: 10 Minutes, Written Part: 90 Minutes, Execution: 60 Minutes & Viva Voce: 20 Minutes]
 Record Work: All the Students must complete at least 50% of the Lab Syllabus i.e., Experiments / Demonstration / Programming Exercises/
Trades / Exercises in their Record Book. For the Coverage of topics approach the concerned lab faculty. Students should bring their records and
observations on the day of examination without fail.
 Dress Code: All students should be dressed in elegant formal attire including formal shoes with apron, College ID card, and neat appearance
with haircut (boys) and Leather shoes are mandatory. Wearing slippers are not permitted.
 Stationery: All Students are directed to bring the following important items for the practical exams:
Examination Hall Ticket, College ID Card, Record Book and Observation of concerned laboratory, Pen, Pencil, Eraser, Sharpener, Scale,
Calculator and any other tools required for the lab examination.
 Malpractice: Any student indulging in malpractice such as possession of any written material or electronic gadgets is strictly punishable as per
College / OU norms.
 Every Student must acquaint with Academic Regulations, Procedures, Assessment methodologies and Malpractice rules pertaining to Theory
Examinations and Practical Examinations published in the Academic regulations / Syllabus Copy issued to the students for the A.Y 2023-24.
 The use of electronic devices shall not be permitted in the laboratory exams. In this context, electronic devices include and are not limited to Mobile
phones, Programmable calculators, Tablet devices, Laptops, Earphones, Blue tooth devices, Electronic gadgets of any form, data storage watches
(‘smart-watches’) with means for inputting or storing information.
 Any unauthorized materials or devices found in candidate’s possession after the start of the practical examination will be confiscated, and will be
liable for disciplinary action (in possession means on the desk, on the clothing, body or any other specifically prohibited).
 Do not operate the apparatus / computer system until the examiner permits to do so during the laboratory examinations.
 Any unfair means during the practical examination leads to expel from the examination hall and will be booked under malpractice.
 Students are not allowed to operate internet during computer-based Laboratory Examinations.
 It is the responsibility of an Individual student to save the content frequently while performing the Computer based Laboratory Examinations.
