•Whentemperatureisverylowanditisdifficulttostartengine,followtheprocedureshown
belowtostarttheunit.
(Procedure)
•Fullyopentheservicevalve.
(Followtheregularstartingproceduretostarttheengine.Bywatchinghowtheenginerotates,
graduallyclosetheservicevalveastheenginespeedsup.Bewareofthecompressedair
dischargedfromtheservicevalve.
Whenthevalveiscompletelyclosed,keeptheunitrunninginthiswayforawhiletowarm-up.
Note:Neveruseetherasastartingaid.
IMPORTANT OperationunderColdWeatherConditionsbelow23°F(5C)
•UseSAE10W-30(CDclass)fortheengineoil.
•Useantifreeze.Usecorrectamounttoprovidefreezeprotection,accordingtothe
ambienttemperature.
•Batteryshouldalwaysbekeptfullycharged.
2.7.5GaugeIndicationwhileOperating
IMPORTANT
•Minimumdischargeairpressureis57psi(0.39MPa)duringoperation.
•Continuingequipmentoperationatalowerpressurethantheabovepressuremay
causeoverheating,sinceitaffectstheseparationoflubricatingoilinsidetheoil
separatorandreducestheoilflowtothecompressorairend.
•Besuretoperiodicallychecktoseeifgauges,foreachcomponentoftheunit,areproperly
working,andifthereisanyair-leak,oil-leak,water-leakorfuel-leaketc.

•Themachinehastobeparkedhorizontallyonalevel
place.
•Incasethemachinehastobeparkedonaslope,
placeitacrossgradesothatthemachinedoesnot
tendtorolldownhill.
•Gradeonaslopeshallbewithin15°degrees
•Besuretochockthewheels. Chocks
•Themachineshouldbeoperatedinfollowing
conditions:
•Ambienttemperature.....5°Fto104°F(-15°Cto+40°C)
•Humidity Lessthan90% TR0302
•Altitude..........................Lowerthan4921ft(1,500m)abovesealevel
•Parkthemachineinaplacewithgoodventilation,lowertemperatureandwithsurroundingsas
dryaspossible.
•Ifmorethantwomachinesareplacedparallelinoperation,keepenoughdistancesothat
exhaustairfromonemachinedoesnoteffecttheotherone.
•Also,amachinehastobeparkedinanenvironmentwherefreshairisalwaysavailable.
•Keepenoughspacearoundtheunitforinspectionandmaintenanceaccess.
•Donotpositiontheexhaustgasoutletinthedirectionofapersonorahouse.

maintenanceshouldbeperformedmoreoften.

•Removethestarterkeyfromthestarterswitchbefore
startinginspection,andhangupa"NowCheckingand
underMaintenance"tagwhereitcanbeeasilyseen.The
checkermustkeepthekeyduringcheckingand

•Removethenegative(-)sidecablefromthebattery.
Iftheaboveprocedureisneglected,andanotherperson

•Ifalargequantityofdischargedcompressoroilisexpected,duetodisassemblingor
cleaningoftheunit,draintheoilbeforesuchoperation.
•Placeacontainerorapanunderneaththeoilporttoreceivewasteliquidorcompressor
oil,sothatsuchliquidcannotdraininsidetheunit.
•Besurethatnowasteliquidisthrownontheground.Suchwasteleftontheground,
riverorlakewillcauseseriousenvironmentalcontamination.Besuretofollowthelocal
code.Ifharmfulmaterialsuchasoil,antifreezesolutionorfiltersaredisposedof
incorrectly,theresponsiblepersonshouldbepunishedbytheauthority.
