PROJECT BACKGROUND
Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), as part of its CSR activity has allocated the Skill development project
to the training partner Apollo MedSkills Limited which was routed through Telangana Academy for Skill &
Knowledge (TASK).

Apollo MedSkills is a joint venture between Apollo Hospitals Group and National Skill Development
Corporation (NSDC) – Govt. of India. Apollo MedSkills has taken a differentiated approach to make
healthcare education more practically relevant and impart job specific skills that will make the Indian
healthcare professional a part of the much sought after global work force.

The CSR project was granted to Apollo MedSkills for conducting training program on “General Duty
Assistant” (GDA) for 60 unemployed youth/school drop-outs from the villages along IOCL’s Paradip-
Hyderabad Pipeline (PHPL) Right-of-Use (RoU) in Nalgonda and Yadadri-Bhongir districts of Telangana.

❖ THE FIRST VISIT IOCL & TASK DELEGATES TO APOLLO MEDSKILLS CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE
(COE)

IOCL Delegates visited to Apollo MedSkills training centre.


Visit Date : 19th November 2021
Venue : AMSL Training Institute at Jubilee hills, Hyderabad.

After the meeting at Apollo MedSkills training centre , the senior officials (from the head office)
of the IOCL team & TASK team has offered Apollo MedSkills to provide the training to 60
unemployed youth/school drop-outs from the villages along IOCL’s Paradip - Hyderabad
Pipeline (PHPL) Right-of-Use (RoU) in Nalgonda and Yadadri-Bhongir districts of Telangana, as
part of their CSR activities.
❖ MOU BETWEEN IOCL, TASK & AMSL
Agreement Date : 21st January 2022
• The official agreement was made through proper documentation among the TASK, the
Apollo MedSkills & the IOCL in order to collaborate & work together on this particular CSR
project.

• Therefore, the MOU for the same was signed by the three of those teams on 21st January,
2022.
❖ MOBILIZATION METHODOLOGY
• On 28th December, 2021, AMSL team has actively started the mobilization from the ground
level.
• Prepared flyer and marketing collaterals with all the details and distributed in Pipeline
affected villages and pasted stickers at every Gram Panchayat notice board.
• With the support of the mobilization teams, traced the land owner detail at mentioned
villages
• Conducted village-level meetings, announced in Gram Sabha’s and called for the village
DINDORA
• As a part of the mobilization, Apollo MedSkills team have interacted with the government
officials (such as, MPDO, MRO, Gram Sarpanch, Gram Secretary, etc.) the obtain
permissions and approvals to conduct “Job Melas” in their respective villages.
• Took the help of Social Workers, Aanganwadi worker, political leaders to arrange the
counseling sessions at village level
• Approached the the farmers (land owners) at early in the morning in these 2 (Nalgonda and
Yadadri-Bhongir ) districts,10 Mandals and 31 villages approached 600 families, and found
300 unemployed youth.
• Started counseling every deserving candidate along with the families and conducted
aptitude test in Gram Sabha/ Manda Sabha/ Schools/ Mandal Samaikya buildings.
• Finally, with the teams (AMSL & IOCL) support, recognised 136 interested youth in the
mentioned families.
• Explained the course details, classroom and hostel facilities available with AMSL and as well
informed about stipend and insurance.
CHALLENGES FACED DURING MOBILIZATION
During the mobilization found, Apollo MedSkills faced few difficulties in the field from land owners
but with the intervention of Mr. Sudharshan Rao it was resolved. He had actively participated in
the mobilization drive alongside Apollo MedSkills team and understood the challenges faced during
mobilization and suggested the way forward. Mobilization drives were conducted by Apollo
MedSkills for trainings the 60 students which were segregated in 2 batches.

❖ CLASSROOM STARTING

❖ INSPECTION BY IOCL TEAM

On 5th of March, 2022, Mr. Gaurav Jain & Mr. Venkat of the IOCL Team have visited our training
center for the inspection and provided their inputs. They understood the challenges faced by
Apollo MedSkills to find out the deserving candidate in the respective IOCL Pipeline Areas at
the time of mobilization.
❖ VISIT TO APOLLO MEDSKILLS COE AND DISTRIBUTION OF WELCOME KIT
Mr. M K Gopalakrishna DGM IOCL supported in mobilizing the candidates by sending his team
to field and lateron, visited AMSL training centers during the classroom session and briefed the
candidate about IOCL CSR activities and the importance of fuel Pipeline for the nation and their
security. He visited the training center with his team and was involved in activities like
welcome kits and uniform distribution etc.
❖ TRAINING DELIVERY
Every student who is part of the Apollo MedSkills family is well groomed for holistic development.
There is a genuine value addition done here through our one to one student induction program
wherein an individual file for each student is created, mapping their aptitude, emotional quotient,
strengths and improvement areas. Through a systematic approach, we are able to quantify their
progressive improvement helping them grow into positive and confident individuals. Besides that,
students are provided grooming sessions on how to carry themselves and present their ideas.
The primary objective of enhancing the centers was to ensure that all the facilities are offered to
our students in a thorough manner so that the learning is complete and holistic in nature.
Apollo MedSkills Centre of Excellence (CoE), is a world class and state-of-the-art skill development
facility. It allows our students to acquire more practical knowledge and provide them with the best-
in-class services.
Apollo MedSkills conducted the training program on the course “General Duty Assistant” (GDA) for
60 candidates in 2 batches.

❖ TASK - MONITORING THE PROJECT
As Part of monitoring the project, TASK CEO has addressed the students and provided
insights on career development and the importance of enhancing their skills.

❖ ASSESSMENTS
Internal, weekly, fortnightly, monthly and final assessments were conducted for all the
beneficiaries at institute level and all of them were awarded with the certificates.
