Enrollment Policies and Procedures
(Kindly read carefully before signing at the end of the page)
Toguarantee enrollment inacourse, IGI must receive acompleted
application form along with a valid ID with photograph and 25% of
the course fee. Entire course fee should be paid at least 5 days
prior to the course commence date. It is the student’s
responsibility to meet the deadlines for payment. If a student fails
to pay the remaining balance by due date, IGI shall have the option
of replacing his/her seat with those on the waiting list. English
language proficiency is required as the courses are conducted in
English language only. 100% attendance is required for all the
courses. IGI does not provide parking facilities.
Video and Audio Monitoring
Due to the nature of its business, IGI uses electronic video and
audio monitoring in workplace to ensure the security and integrity
ofpremisesandprocesses. The recorded information ofvideoand
audio monitoring will be handled and retained in accordance with
legal obligations.
Testimonial Release Consent
For reasonable and fair consideration received, I authorize the
International Gemological Institute, and those acting pursuant to
its authority and permission to (a) Record my name, likeness,
voice, and appearance on videotape or audiotape, in
photographs, or any other recorded medium. I understand that
these recordings may be used in any medium now or hereafter
known including but not limited to print, Web, video, or audio. (b)
Copyright and use, re-use, publish, and republish such recordings
in whole or in part without restrictions or limitation for any purpose
that the International Gemological Institute and those pursuant to
its authority deem appropriate, although the International
Gemological Institute is not obligated to use such recordings.

Refund Policy
IGI must be informed in writing for any cancellation or reschedule of
courses. Complete refund shall be done for cancellation up to 5 days
prior to the course commence date. For cancellation less than 5 days
prior to course commence date or the student fails to inform IGI or No
Show, IGI will retain 20% of the total course fee.
Should the applicant or IGI for any reason it considers sufficient to
terminate the enrolment after the course starts, the refund will be
calculated on a pro-rata basis in relation to the number of days
attended with a minimum retainment of 20% course fee. In case a
student cancels after attending more than half the course, he or she
will not be eligible for any refunds.
Re-test policy
For re-test, a fee of AED 200 would be applicable.
Code of Conduct
A Code of Conduct will apply during all courses. In case of misconduct
(including but not limited to aggression, theft, drunkenness, poor
hygiene, indecency, lack of respect towards students and/or teacher),
students can be refused access to the Course and be suspended for
part or the entirety of the course.
IGI reserves the right to refuse a student entry to the classroom or to
ask the student to leave the classroom in case of misconduct. In any
such case (temporary or full suspension), IGI is not liable to refund any
course fees or any related costs (hotel, transportation…)
By completing and approving the enrolment form, students declare
their agreement with the Terms & Conditions. IGI Dubai reserves the
right to change the Terms & Conditions from time to time. In case of
conflict between these and any other written agreement, the latter will
prevail.
