american progress. "Even the most hardcore fans are willing to take things in that direction, but
how have these people come to believe that the president of the united states doesn't have the
courage to hold his hand?" For years, hamill says, most republican leaders who tried and failed
to embrace the idea of a second term believed that a third term would be the right choice. But
some conservative leaders, like mitt romney in 2008 and donald trump in 2016, still believe that
the first and last term is in the best interests of america. Hamill says that has changed many
times over this year. "I think i've never heard anyone talk about the third year," He says. "I think
there is a recognition that our economy has taken a significant hit, but we still have a great
chance of making it happen because this is a country that has built an economy that is stronger,
stronger today, stronger tomorrow. I think that our next two years will certainly be a different
version of it." Hamill says he is not worried that a third term could be a good one. "It's possible
that we just can't get into a debate on this very important issue and that it's going to be a
