Subject: - Advisory for MDPE Shifting and Hot works

It is advised to strictly adhere to following guidelines to avoid incidents at site:-

1. No planned MDPE shifting work, charging work etc. should be carried out during
night hours. All planned works to be carried out in morning hours/daylight only.
2. If there is an urgent requirement of carrying out MDPE line shifting work, charging
work during night hours where more than 5000 customer are getting affected during
morning hours/ daylight, then proper approval from HOD is required to be taken for
the same.
3. Double isolation has to be ensured in all cases. Double isolation is to be ensured by
either Double Squeezers or by means combination of valve chamber and Squeezer.
4. All Hot works are to be carried out after taking hot work permit (100% Compliance of
work permit system to be ensured).
5. All Line shifting works to be informed up to CGM-PNG O&M Level in one day
before execution of activity.

Note-

 All mentioned points are over and above the existing SOP’s and no deviation is acceptable
against the same.
 All mentioned points are required to be complied with immediate affect any non-
compliance with be strictly looked after by higher management and action will be taken
against respective team.
