NOTICE

DISCONTINUATION OF SCHEME TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE OF

RS.3.00 LAKHS TO FAMILY/LEGAL HEIR OF DECEASED EMPLOYEE WHO DIE
WHILE IN SERVICE OF THE BANK

In terms of HRMD Circular No. 708/2023 dated 19.06.2023, a scheme to provide

financial assistance of Rs.3.00 lakhs to family/legal heirs of deceased employees,
irrespective of cadre, who die while in service of the Bank, (death on or after
01.04.2023, except accidental death) was introduced.

Later on, Bank has obtained Group Term Insurance Policy covering all the employees
for the period 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2024. This policy covers all kinds of death. The
quantum of sum insured under the policy is 15 times of Gross Monthly Salary with
minimum amount as under:
 Rs. 15 Lacs for Officer Staff.
 Rs. 12 Lacs for Clerical Staff.
 Rs. 7.50 Lacs for Subordinate Staff.

As such, it has been decided to discontinue the aforementioned scheme of

providing financial assistance of Rs.3.00 lakhs to family/legal heirs of deceased
employees, with immediate effect i.e. financial assistance is to be given/ provided for
the deaths occurred till 16.05.2024 only.

NOTE:- PLEASE NOTE THAT HRMS LINK FOR SUBMISSION &

RECOMMENDATION OF PENDING CLAIMS(i.e. FOR DEATH DURING
01.04.2023 TO 16.05.2024) UNDER SCHEME OF FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE IS OPENED TILL 31.05.2024 .

All concerned to note for meticulous compliance and to ensure that claims under
scheme are lodged well before 31.05.2024.
