Dear Students, Parents/Guardians and Staff of Virtual Secondary School,

On June 19, 2024, the Board of Trustees approved a series of Principal and Vice-Principal promotions and transfers
within the system. At the meeting it was approved that Principal, Nick Rowe, will be transferred to serve as Principal
at A.Y. Jackson Secondary School, effective September 2024.

Principal Rowe has provided strong leadership to the Virtual Secondary School community. He has been
an advocate for developing the leadership capacity of both staff and students. He has been focused on improving
academic outcomes for all learners over the last two years. We will miss him and know that you will join us in wishing
Mr. Rowe the very best at his new school.

Subsequently, at the Board of Trustees meeting it was announced that Ms. Praveena Sivarajah, Vice-Principal at
Agincourt CI will be promoted to serve as the new Principal at Virtual Secondary School effective September 2024.

Ms. Sivarajah has worked as a Vice-Principal for over 10 years and most recently worked at Agincourt CI and Don
Mills CI. Student engagement and well-being are amongst her top priorities. She is excited to work with students
and staff to develop equitable, meaningful, relevant programs and learning. Ms. Sivarajah will work with the
administrative team to lead the Virtual Secondary School with integrity and warmth. Together with staff they will focus
on innovation, equity, well-being, and strong student achievement.
