Emissions Trading System

(ETS) - April
As of 1 January 2024, new EU/EEA rules took effect for commercial ferries,
which means that shipping lines must pay for their CO2 emissions on their
ferry crossings.

For 2024, shipping lines must pay for 40% of their emissions.
For 2025, shipping lines will have to pay for 70% of their emissions.
By 2026, shipping lines must pay for 100% of their emissions.

All fees below are payable by carriage chargeable weight.
