I. Objectives
At the end of a 1 hour discussion, the learners with special educational needs are expected to do the
following with at least 75% level of mastery.
a. identify letter Ff;
b. name pictures begin with letter Ff; and
c. trace and write the letter Ff.

Good morning children! (Good morning teacher) I am teacher Marj, and today I am your young teacher.
Show me that you are ready, arrange your chairs, and sit properly.

Before we start our lesson, let's go over some friendly reminders or guidelines for our classroom. These
are the things I'd like you to keep in mind.

a)behave;
b)follow instructions;
c.)listen carefully; and
d)sit properly.

Okay class look at here before we are going to start our lesson I want you to look at the board. I have
here with me a Behavioral Chart entitled “Feed th Animals” Each of you will have an animal with your name on
it. Whenever you behave and participate in class, I will feed your animal pet with their favorite food. Each time
you’re fed, your animal earns 1 point. Did You Understand? (Yes, teacher!)

2. Review
Okay class who can tell me what is your lesson last Week? (Letter Dd teacher) Yes. Very good! the
letter you have learn last week is the sound of letter Dd. Who could still remember the sound of letter Dd?
(“duh” teacher) Very Good the Sound of Letter Dd is “duh” Okay now, lets have an Activity! The Letter Dd
Discovery Bin! It's filled with interesting things related to the letter Dd. But before we dive in, let's talk about
the letter Dd. (Teacher holds up a visual representation of the letter Dd.) This is the letter Dd. It looks like a big
line with a smaller line attached.

Introduce Letter Dd and demonstrate how to pronounce the /d/ “duh” sound

This is the Letter the sound is /d/ “duh”

Now, let's explore the bin. (Teacher reveals the tactile material,) Inside here, we have something special.
You have to Feel it, touch it. What does it remind you of? (Pause for responses) It's our sensory material, and
it's going to help us discover cool things begin with the letter Dd.
As you dig into the bin, you'll find different items that stars with the letter Dd. Can you name them as
you find them? (Pause for students to explore) That's right! You're finding Dd treasures! Now, let's explore and
name Dd treasures in the bin. Ready? Let's go!

3. Motivation
Now, I have prepared a roller wheel. What do you think we will do with this? Are you curious about it? Okay,
this is the wheels of the bus. We have to roll it for the bus to ride. As we roll the wheel, we will discover a
picture of an object. As we spin the wheels of the bus, We sing "Wheels of the Bus." and after, you have to spot
the pictures starting with letter Ff inside the wheels. Are you ready now to roll the wheels of the bus? but before
we will roll the wheels of the bus, what are the things that we must always remember? We have our classroom
rules which are, behave, follow instructions, listen carefully and sit properly. Do you understand class? (Yes
teacher).Very Good!
B. Presentation

So now, Listen to Teacher Marj as I Story tell the story of One Frog with Five Flies
By: Alyssa Liang, but before We start with the story what are the things that we must always remember? We
have our classroom rules which are, behave, follow instructions, listen carefully and sit properly. Do you
understand class? (Yes teacher).Very Good!

2. Discussion of Examples
Show each pictures of the fish, flower, flies frog and five alongside the letter Ff. Repeat the words,
emphasizing the "fuh” sound.(Encourage each pupils to repeat after)

This is a fish This is a frog.

This is a flower This is a five


flower starts with Letter Ff. five starts with Letter Ff.

This is a fly
fly starts with Letter Ff.

3. Games
Direction: Place the three pictures on the table and let each student pick as I say the word. (emphasize the sound
of “fuh”)

▪ Let’s start with the fish, Can you find the picture of the fish.
▪ Now, the flower. Find the picture of the fly.
▪ Now, the frog. Find the picture of the frog.
▪ Now, The five. Find the picture of the five.

C. Application
I. Activity
Have students practice writing the letter "Ff" on paper or on the board. Provide tracing worksheets for guided
practice.

Emphasize the letter Ff and prompt the student verbally to say the sound of “fuh” in each pictures posted on the
board.
