Introduction
I've made this little heart pillow for charity auction. The pillow is 20 cm long and 18 cm height. This
pattern is only for the pillow (without the inscription - which is made from chains and was extremely
time consuming to make, as you may have quested :) I hope more heart pillows will be made by you,
and maybe even some for charity reasons too.

Joined heart (Make 1)
red yarn

R1: continue making sc to the place where you joined

the two tops (for me it's sc 5), make next sc in the
joined place on the other top of the heart (see the 1st
photo for reference), sc 42 around the whole top,
make next sc in the 1st top, where you started and sc
till the end of the row (84)

This is how the finished R1 should look like, we have a

little hole in the middle, we will deal with it in a
minute.

My beginning of the row is where you can see the

brown yarn piece, it's 5 sc before joined middle of the
heart, it might happen that your beginning will be
elsewhere , so from now on we will make the rows
like this:

RS: sc ..., dec, sc ..., dec, sc ... (82)

which means sc as many stitches as you need to go to

the heart side (see the 3rd photo I am holding the side
of the heart), dec (or increase if instructed) on the
side, than sc as many stitches you need to go to the
other side of the heart, dec (or increase if instructed)
on the side, sc to the row end. The important thing is
to have the same number of stitches after finishing
the row as told in the brackets, so for our sample row
it's 82 (82).

The instructions for both sides will be the same, so

don't worry on which side, right or left, you are.

Ok, all clear, let's start:

R2: sc..., inc 2, sc ..., inc 2, sc ... (88)

R3 - R7: sc around (88)

R8: sc ... ,dec 2, sc ..., dec 2, sc ... (84)

R9: sc around (84)

(continued on next page)

It's a good place to stop and take care of that hole in
the middle of the heart, where we joined two tops.

You can sew it with a thread matching in color with

your yarn or take a strand of your yarn pull it around
the edges of the hole and tie it on the inside of your
work.
