Planning a Trip to the Amazon with

INTRODUCTION
Hello! My name is Jorge Nicolas. I am a student at the
Federal University of Amazonas and today I will present
a travel plan through our beloved state of Amazonas,
helping Professor Taylor Ditmar explore the region.

● FIRST STEP- TEATRO AMAZONAS

The Amazonas Theater is one of


the most iconic buildings in the
region, representing the cultural
and historical richness of the city.
Inside, the theater boasts stunning
architecture and elegant interiors.
We can take a taxi
or bus from the city
center.

Activities: Guided
tours, attending
cultural
performances, and
exploring the interior
of the theater.
Second Stop - Meeting Of The Waters

The Meeting of the Waters is


where the Negro and Solimões
rivers meet without mixing. This
natural phenomenon is a must-see.
We can take a tourist boat that
departs from the port of Manaus.
Activities:Boat tour, photography,
and learning about local geography
THIRD STOP - CAXIIRI RESTAURANT

Caxiri is a renowned restaurant offering


traditional Amazonian cuisine. It's a great
place to experience local flavors and culinary
culture.
Located in the city center, it is easily
accessible by taxi or bus.
Activities: Dining, tasting traditional dishes,
and experiencing local gastronomy.
FOURTH STOP - MUSA (Museu da Amazônia)

The MUSA, also known as the Museum of the


Amazon, was previously a botanical garden. It
offers a vast collection of exhibits related to the
Amazon rainforest, its biodiversity, and cultural
heritage. MUSA is Accessible by taxi or bus from
the city center.
Activities: Exploring the exhibits, walking through
the botanical gardens, and observing the treetop
towers.
FIFTH STOP - RUBBER MUSEUM

The Rubber Museum provides a


journey back in time to the rubber
boom era, showing the life of the
rubber tappers.
We can access by boat or car from
Manaus.
Activities:Guided tour of the
museum, learning about the
economic and social history of the
region.
SEVENTH STOP - PONTA NEGRA BEACH

Located in Manaus along the Rio Negro,


Ponta Negra is a place where you can
swim, relax on sandy beaches, and enjoy
local food. See the Meeting of Waters
and watch beautiful sunsets. It's a
must-see for a mix of nature and
culture in the Amazon.
CONCLUSION

With these stops, I hope Professor Taylor can


better understand our culture, history, and natural
beauty. I am excited to share more about the
Amazon and learn together!
