1.0 INTRODUCTION

To begin, Hair with Flare has been a profitable business since 2018 and will continue to be so
until 2022. Essentially, our organization is a beauty salon that offers cosmetic procedures to both men
and women. Hair With Flare is located at the Pavillion store in Kuala Lumpur and is open everyday
from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Our Company is a beauty service company that specializes in hair fashioning
and treatment. Our hair stylist duties include washing and cutting hair, providing hair care and style
and colouring suggestions, and prescribing hair styling products. Furthermore, in order to attract and
keep long-term customers, the majority of our hairstylists have strong communication skills so they
can communicates well with the customers.

The objective and mission of Hair with Flare is to deliver a warm, individualized service
through a team of highly experienced and creative specialists. Our most significant asset is our
teamwork, which guarantees our clients are always number one, and consistently aim to surpass
customer expectations. As one of our company's primary goals is to constantly provide high-quality
service to our customers while meeting or exceeding their expectations. But it's not enough if we're
the only ones who understand our purpose, vision, and ambitions. Hair with Flare is sharing it with
everyone so that they understand why they are doing the job they are doing and where they are going.

However, although our organization generates competent hairstylists, we have recently failed
to create honest and dedicated employees. This problem happened owing to a lack of CCTV at the
counter. Actually, we simply have one CCTV at the entrance to our saloon since we do not anticipate
any employee theft. In here we can describe an employee theft is defined as the illegal taking or use
of an employer's property for personal gain.

To summarize, the major reason we propose this proposal is to safeguard the safety of our
salon, Hair with Flare, as well as to avoid occupational fraud or theft. As a result, we provide some
solutions and ideas to improve the safety and security of Hair with Flare property in an effective
manner through our proposal. Furthermore, in our proposal, we give all of the specific information
required to resolve these issues, such as the problem description, significance, and budget required in
these initiatives.

2.0 PROBLEM STATEMENT

Hair with Flare's financial accounting department discovered some missing money on their
records. This problem occurred when the entire amount of monthly income reported in the reports did
not match the value that they received. Furthermore, one of our employees had reported to us that
several of our merchandise and equipment were gone from our saloon. Employee theft may appear to
be a minor issue to deal with. After all, our organization is now dealing with employee theft, which is
harming their bottom line. However, as much as the theft is taken from Hair with Flare every year,
making it one of the most expensive and broad difficulties organization face today. To reduce these
losses and hazards, it is critical to examine how this theft is carried out and how to avoid it. Employee
theft can lead our firm to go bankrupt by raising our monthly costs and lowering our monthly earnings
as a result of employee theft. Bar chart below shows the increasing and decreasing of the revenue and

 According to the bar chart, every time Hair with Flare salon got the higher revenue for each
month the more the expenses become due to employee theft. We can conclude here that the theft plans
is to stole more if the saloon get higher revenue in order to cover their damages, as they might taught
that our financial reporting department could not detect the losses occurred. Since it affects our
company’s revenue and expenses we believe there are several factors that influence the employees
theft in Hair with Flare to losses amount of money monthly.

The issues were detected from our financial reporting department and also one of our
employees. Due to lack of CCTV, stealing from work can contain theft of tangible items and hard
property such as cash or inventories, or theft of intangible assets such as data, but in our cases, the
most obvious theft is taking money, where staff are handling cash on a daily basis, this can be a cause
of serious problem in recognizing who is responsible, and the measures needed to prevent future
abuse and theft and the measures needed to prevent future abuse and theft, so that is why one of our
employee actually notice there is one of them had steal the money however they do not have any clear
evidence to show and need to remind silent.

3.0 SIGNIFICANT

Here are some of the benefits of using a CCTV system to demonstrate that it is truly essential
and crucial for the company. For starters, it will lower costs and risks. As soon as they are installed,
CCTV security systems prove to be the best investment. Full visibility of your premises, real-time
recording, and remote online access by the owner or manager reduces risk and prevents high - cost
occurrences such as attempted robbery, fire, vandalism, and others. Furthermore, it can provide fool
proof coverage for any circumstances that may occur on the premises. A well-designed CCTV system
is virtually impenetrable which can provide total coverage. Comprehensive surveillance is not
impacted by human errors like the security officer being on shut-eye or being involved with
something else because multiple cameras keep an eye on each other's blind spots in addition to
keeping a close eye on most vulnerable areas of the building. Remote online access as well as event
recording, document everything in case the police or a judge needs it.

Foremost, it can keep the employees honesty. CCTV cameras installed on the outside of a
facility avert break-ins by outcasts, but if installed within the facility to supervise sensitive material,
products, and assets, along with vulnerable parts of a facility, it will help deter wrongdoing by
company employees. Even if something goes wrong, the recorded footage will prevent false
accusations and a trust issues among all employees. As a result, it can promote good behaviour in the
workplace. This is because CCTV surveillance aid in the creation of discipline among both employees
and customers. It can reduce the likelihood of workplace thievery and bullying. Aside from that,
CCTV systems encourage both employees and customers to always be on their guard at all times. It
also gives customers with a sense of security and protection because they know they are protected, as
well as sense of trust in doing business with you.

Last but not least, it has the potential to improve the customer experience. CCTV improves
the customer experience in the salon. The manager is always able to track and observe the behaviour
of various clients. As an outcome, it will be simpler to build a platform on which customers feel
cherished, treasured for, and believed when using the service. In addition, based on client movements
captured by CCTV, management can improve the quality of the good. Furthermore, it has the
potential to eliminate bogus insurance claims. CCTV cameras, in regards to deterring crime, it can
also prevent customers from filing false claims against the company. The company can use
the collective evidence as visual and audio evidence as an advantage and disprove any claims made
against the company. For example, someone who had burned up their scalp with bleach at home
might end up blaming a salon for using such a tint dye.

 4.0 ESTIMATED BUDGET

In order to overcome this issue, it’d be best for the company to add more CCTV around the
entire store. The CCTV will be installed on specific areas which have the potential for the employees
to take or use employer’s property. For instance, around each corner of the store as well as the areas
which might be hidden at the back of the premise. On top of that, to enhance the security system
around the store so that the business did not experience any more losses, another CCTV will be
installed at the counter area where all the cash is being put.

This method can be one of the most effective ways to prevent theft among the employees
from spreading even more and eventually avoid this issue from occurring at all. Choosing the correct
CCTV is crucial, it need to be equipped with high resolution setup. The reason is because CCTV can
be expensive depending on its technology and the systems used as well as rely on the name of the
brand. A high-resolution setup is required to ensure that everything can be seen clearly. It is
recommended to use either 720p or 10080p resolution. There are two types of CCTV that is
commonly used which are dome camera and bullet type camera. We choose to get bullet type camera
because it designed and meant for capturing visuals of a specific area which will be the perfect choice
for the company. In addition to that, another bonus point is that bullet type camera is cheaper within
the market. Other than that, the importance of night vision also should not be neglected. The chosen
bullet type camera also has the function for night vision. Due to the design of the salon that has a lot
of blind spots and hidden area not an open space Hikvision DS-2CD2085FWD-I shall be the best
option.

 5.0 CONCLUSION

To clarify, the installation of CCTV systems can provide numerous advantages to the
company. The installation of CCTV systems can help the company save money and reduce risk. It is
because, once installed, the systems are very easy to operate and require little maintenance, and, most
importantly, they can deter criminal activity by surveilling the premises 24 hours a day, seven days a
week. Not only that, but it also protects the company internally. It keeps employees honest, monitors
all of their movements, and can reduce the likelihood of workplace thievery and bullying.
Furthermore, it can improve the customer's experience. As a result, it is anticipated that this proposal
will provide numerous benefits to the company, its employees, and its customers. It is wished that this
proposal will be approved by upper executives for the beneficial of all employees in the company.
