SBFP implementation and Canteen operation

prevention of foodborne illnesses and
hazards;

• To discuss other matters relevant to SBFP

and Canteen Management

Highlights of the Activity:

1. Review of operational guidelines on Basic Food Safety Act of 2013 (RA 10611), DepEd Order
No. 13, s. 2017 (Policy and Guidelines on Healthy Food and Beverage Choices in Schools and
DepEd Offices), DepEd Order No. 8, s. 2007 (Revised Implementing Guidelines on the Operation
and Management of School Canteens in Public Elementary and Secondary Schools) and other
supplementary guidelines.

2. Provision of technical assistance in implementing Basic Food Safety in schools.

3. Provide basic knowledge about the cost of poor Food safety.

4. Workshop: Crafting of School Canteen Plan and Menu
