First of all I would like to apologize on behalf of the Cola-Cola company for what has happened
what has happened is a bad thing and there are no excuses about it but rather the company
extends its apologies. The Coca-Cola Company is sorry for everything that has happened.
Therefore, they are promising to make sure that such mistakes are not to be repeated.

b) Would you release a press statement for that or not?

Yes, because if the public is aware of the incident they will surely be waiting for a press
statement about the crises.

Lusaka, 13th March 2023: The Coca-Cola Company would like to apologize to our valued
customers for the mistake of a needle found in a Coca-Cola drink; this incident occurred on
Tuesday 12 march 2023 around 17.00 hours.

The Coca-Cola has agreed that what happened is a bad thing and that they are extremely sorry
for the mistake and they are informing the customers that the mistake made was due to lack of
supervision by our supervisors during the make of Coca-Cola drink inside the industries.

Our terms of engineers are investigating the cause and will come up with the solution to the
mistake that happened. We urge our customers to stay calm as the term is working on it and
we are apologizing sincerely to our valued customers for the mistake that happened.

2) You are working for super shine university as a public relations officer and your school
has been accused of awarding free degrees and diploma certificates.
a) How would you respond to this accusation?

First of all I would like to apologize for the misinformation circulating among the public that
states, super shine is awarding free degrees and diploma certificates. Which is very not true and
we urge our beloved citizens to stay calm. The information spreading is not true and if anyone
is interested to know more please visit the University for more Clear Information.

b) What platform/medium are you going to use to clear this out and why?

The best platform/medium to use is the radio, television and newspapers, because the
information will circulate very fast to public. The other medium are social media platform,
because in our everyday life social media has become the fastest platform for circulating
information. For example; Facebook, Instergram, tik tok and whatsapp.

c) Do you think this can devalue your institutions? And why do you think so?

Yes, because it will take time for some of the public members to believe and understand that
the information which is been spread is not true. And because such Misinformation is had to
regain trust.

d) Issue out a press release for the media coverage on this particular issue.

circulating among the public and on social media insinuating that the university is awarding free
degrees and diploma certificates effective 19th March 2023.

The briefing that was held on Monday 18 th March, 2023 was aimed at informing the nation on
the status of awarding free certificates that the public at large and the institution is
experiencing and the interventions that the institution has put in place to solve the case on
social media platforms.

As, a university, we would like to inform the public that the information circulating is not true
and that we examine our policies, and procedures to comply with all laws and regulations. We
are consistently committed to compliance and we assure the integrity and transparency of all
our activities. We urge the public to collect information from the main source which is the
super shine university management.

3) Brian mwale was working for ZNBC for 10 years, he advanced from diploma to degree.
He was later offered job as a public relations officer by Zambia environment
management agency (ZEMA). Before he could report, he received a dismal of his
contract as PRO at ZEMA.
a) Advice Brian on his situation as a communication specialist.

My advice to Brian Mwale is that he should take heart and handle the issue professionally by
first thinking critically about it and stat to investigate the matter. To find out what caused his
dismal and what could possibly be done about. And there after know either to find other job or
try and get back to the old one which is the ZNBC.
 b) Imagine you are Director General for ZEMA would you issue a press release on the
matter.

Yes, because I need to inform the public on Brian Mwale’s abrupt job termination.

c) How would you respond to the matter as a DG for ZEMA and what would you say?

By issuing a press statement, which will say that, his job termination was due to reports
received that Brian is not competent about the job of a public relations officer and that his into
political Cardizem.

Environment Management Agency (ZEMA). This decision raises serious concerns about the

Best platform is social media, which are Facebook, whatsapp and Google because they are fast
and mostly used platforms. And the other one is radio media for those who are busy to use
their phone.
