NIgeria Delegation MAL
The World Bank is supporting the Federal Government of Nigeria in the implementation
of the US$ 376 million Multi-Cluster Recovery Project (MCRP). The objective of the project is to
support the recovery of livelihoods and infrastructure in the insurgency hit areas of Nigeria. The
project also aims to improve service delivery in three participating States of Nigeria. At the request
of the three States, the World Bank is also preparing a new project to support urban, rural, and
social development, service delivery, and inclusion for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and
host communities, with a focus on disaster risk management.
The exposure visit provides an opportunity for Nigerian Government officials to learn from
urban development and disaster risk reduction and recovery experience of Punjab/Pakistan. The
learning will also inform the design of new project in Nigeria. The proposed schedule of meetings
is attached, along with the list of delegates from the Government of Nigeria. Through a copy of
this letter, we would like to request the officials concerned to kindly confirm the proposed
meetings.
For mission related queries and confirmation of meetings, please contact Mr. Masroor
