Scope: This program is applicable throughout the facility of FKC Products Pvt. Ltd.

Responsibility: FSTL & HACCP Team.

Procedure:

1. FKC Products Pvt. Ltd. shall establish foreign object control policy to prevent
physical contamination of food.(Ref. to: Policy)
2. HACCP Team shall be deputed to perform this task.
3. Through this policy management shall ensure that, no person enter the
processing hall with metal or any other objects which has potential to cause
physical contamination. (only approved processing tools shall be allowed).
4. QA In charge shall check the processing line before the process starts to ensure
no potential physical hazard is present in the shop floor and give clearance to
initiate processing to production team. (Ref. to. Line Clearance record)
5. Maintenance in charge shall check the machine or equipment which he/she fixed
for foreign object risks such as rubbing/wearing belts, gaskets, metal to metal
contact, loose screws or material, missing lock washers, overhead debris/risks,
and condensation points and shall give clearance to QA for further inspection.
(Ref. to Post maintenance report).
6. QA in charge along with Maintenance team shall inspect the machine and areas
around the machine / equipment to check the presence of any foreign object risk.
Once ensured no such risk is present QA in charge shall give clearance to
production team to initiate the processing. (Ref. to Post maintenance report).
7. Top management shall ensure no wooden pallets in used inside the processing
area.
8. All the raw ingredients received by the facility shall be thoroughly checked by QA
in charge for any foreign body contamination before using it for production.
9. Glasses and brittle plastics in the facility shall be numbered and same shall be
monitored at defined frequency by QA in charge.
10. Proper corrective action shall be taken and recorded for the incidents and
effectiveness of corrective action should be checked by QA in charge.

Metal Detector:
1. All the products after packing and labelling shall pass through the metal detector.
Sensitivity of metal detector should be checked by the Metal Detector operator as
per the defined procedure.
2. If sensitivity of metal detector fails operator should inform the QA in charge
immediately.
3. QA in charge shall further handle the situation as per the defined procedure.
4. Packets detected for metal contamination shall be handled by QA in charge as
per the defined procedure with due care.
5. Annual training shall be given to operators handling metal detector.

4. Metal Detector Rejection log book
5. CAPA form
